Positive: Loved the location, calm and peaceful with lovely views of the lake. Especially loved the restaurant, best food we ate all our trip round southern Germany. Enjoyed the small sauna and wellness area. Very nice hotel, would recommend and would stay again. Also very friendly staff.

Negative: We had to ask for a second chair in our room, no big deal and they brought one straight away but for two people, two chairs? Interesting they don't have a really cosy 'bar area'. Maybe it's primarily a summer hotel as the terrace is gorgeous but in bad weather you can sit in reception, in nice chairs but not many.

Positive: Great location right next to the lake. Very friendly staff as well on check in as in the restaurant

Negative: Reception is very welcoming. The restaurant however could use a little makeover to make it more cosy. The room was big enough. Bathroom was rather small and outdated

Positive: The location was stunning on the lakeside and the staff friendly and accommodating - the food in the restaurant delicious and an excellent breakfast buffet.

Negative: The room was really basic and cold on arrival. The duvets were thin which is ok for the summer months but the weather had turned perhaps unexpectedly cold and wet (mid September). I was occupying the room singularly so luckily there was an extra duvet in the cupboard. I was in an attic room which had a fantastic view of the lake which made up for the lack of coziness in the room. There was no kettle to make tea/coffee but when my sister (in another room) asked reception one was kindly brought to the room with a selection of teas. The spa facilities too were a little basic with the rest area again cold. I think this might be because you have to give staff half an hour notice before using the sauna/steam room at which time they switch the facilities on so everything was still a bit on the cool side. My mother (elderly) had a near accident on the rocking loungers as it tipped completely backwards toppling her over. Perhaps not the best loungers for those that struggle with balance. All this said I think we arrived just as some unprecedented bad weather arrived so maybe the hotel wasn’t quite set up yet for a more autumnally vibe so I would come again as I imagine it’s a wonderful place to be on warm summer days.

Summary: A little disapponted but I think the torrential rain weather over the 48 hours of our stay contributed to this
