This exceptional and beautifully furnished apartment on the second and last floor of a multi-party villa with direct lake access offers a large south-west facing balcony with a 180° view of the lake and the Alps. Here you can enjoy the spectacular atmosphere of the lake and romantic sunsets. There's always something to look at, be it the sailboats passing by or swaying in the wind, passengers boarding the ferries or the windsurfers and kiters carving in the water. The lake sometimes appears wild, sometimes gentle - and in the evening the flickering of the waves reflect on the ceiling of kitchen.
Relax and enjoy, living, cooking, dining, sleeping or even working: all with a view of the lake. There are TVs in the living room, in the two bedrooms and in the lounge area of ​​the gallery and Wi-Fi throughout the apartment. There's a stereo with DAB tuner and Bluetooth and USB connection in the living room.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need for the preparation of hot and cold meals and drinks: fridge, freezer, ceran stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, espresso machine, toaster, kettle and blender. The pots and pans, cutlery and cutting block are from WMF, the dishes from Villeroy & Boch.
Comfortable leather sofas and chairs, attractive, indirect lighting and powerful pictures create the perfect atmosphere. The lake, the sun, wind and clouds create a changing, breathtaking scenery.
The two bedrooms are equipped with high quality box spring double beds. In the master bedroom, a small desk overlooks the lake. This bedroom has direct access to the bathroom, and has its own small balcony. The bedroom on the gallery level offers a large walk-in closet.
The bathroom with floor heating has a "walk-in shower", bath, bidet and toilet. A large sink with a spacious cabinet completes the furnishings. A separate WC is available for guests.
In a small storage room you will find a vacuum cleaner, broom, ladder, and other household goods. There is also room for beverage crates and other stock. The washing machine and clothes dryer are located in the laundry room in the basement.
An easily accessible parking space is available in front of the house. Since the commuter train station is only a 6-minute walk away, however, you do not necessarily need a car. The S8 train runs directly from the airport or downtown Munich to Herrsching. Shops and supermarkets for everyday needs are also within walking distance.
Leisure: you will find numerous restaurants, taverns, cafes and bistros to the left and right of the apartment along Germany's longest lake promenade (10 km) that runs directly in front of the house. A few metres away, you can rent boats, other water sports equipment or bicycles. There is also a mini golf course only 450 m south of the apartment. A park with Herrsching's little castle and tennis courts is 300 m in the other direction.
The cultural metropolis Munich is easily accessible with the S8 commuter train or by car in about the same time. The ski resort in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze in the Bavarian Alps can be reached within about an hour.

Summary: The apartment is exactly as described and does not disappoint. Beautiful views, quiet friendly town, and a well kept and elegant apartment. It's has everything you need and more. Summary: We had a perfect stay at the place of the Hassenbach family. As a former hotel and restaurant owner I know what hospitality can be and this is the top of the top. No prestigious stuff, but everything exactly as it should be. The apartment is extremely well equipped, very clean, perfect location and the host has everything well prepared, including tips of the surroundings in English and German. Every single hospitality person should come to this apartment and take an example on how hospitality can be delivered to the utmost. Thanks very much for your kind introduction to the apartment! Summary: My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a week working remotely that was in the countryside but still accessible to Munich. This apartment was well suited for that as it had an excellent desk. The location is absolutely perfect - right on the lake with a gorgeous view. We ate most of our meals on the balcony and it was set up perfectly with umbrellas and beautiful flowers. Everything you could want is in walking distance, from restaurants, grocery stores, and an incredible bakery. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and went SUP. The apartment is extremely spacious, although we did not use the upstairs much. The bathroom is large and very well equipped. I especially appreciated the little touches like the dividers in the drawer in the bathroom so you could really unpack. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Stephan met us when we arrived and took the time to explain everything we needed to know. He created the most informative book of any vacation rental I have ever stayed it and it was very useful. I highly recommend the hike to Andechs brewery and taking the boat from Herrsching to Dießen. There so many things to do in the area - plus you can hop on the train to Munich. We loved staying here and hope to come back.

Summary: We stayed for over a month at Summerstrasse. The location right on the lake in Herrsching is a joy compared to being in the centre of Munich, yet easily and quickly accessed via the S8 S-Bahn a few minutes away. The apartment itself is extremely well equipped with high quality appliances, good TV service (though limited English language services). Excellent high speed internet, comfortable beds and very nice fittings make the apartment a real home from home, with great sunset views from balcony over the lake. The listing is absolutley accurate - not always to be assumed with online bookings! I also have to note that Stephan is a joy as owner, being very helpful and walked through on arrival and followed up subsequently. Highly recommended.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. Stephan was there to meet us and showed us around and how everything works. It's a big place and he was very thorough. He made great suggestions about the area, what to do and how to get around. Stephan was very thoughtful and checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was going okay. By far, this has been our best VRBO. Communication was wonderful and the property is accurately reflected in the pictures. Thank you for a wonderful and safe place to stay.

Summary: This beautiful well maintained two bedroom apartment is perfectly located in the best location in Herrsching overlooking the lake with the promenade right outside your front door. From the minute we booked this apartment for two couples, the owner was incredibly prompt and thoughtful with the communication. He accommodated our arrival, welcomed us warmly, and provided us with very useful and complete information regarding our stay. (This was truly exceptional service!) The apartment itself is very well appointed and worked very well for two couples as it has two bedrooms and one and a half baths. The pictures and the listing are completely accurate so you know exactly what you will be getting during your stay. It is very comfortable and nicely decorated with many conveniences. The apartment is perfectly located close to local shops and restaurants as well as the train station into Munich so you really could do without a car if you wanted to. We did have a vehicle and had access to an outdoor or underground parking stall which we used. The modern kitchen is well equipped with all the equipment and tools you will need for making casual meals. We tended to eat breakfast in and then have supper at one of the recommended restaurants in the area. The location of the apartment was very convenient for going to Neuschwanstein, Dachau, Andech's Abbey, Mittenwald, Garmisch-Partenkinkirschen, Munich, Starnberg, and many other sites in the Bavarian region. We did take the train into Marienplatz in Munich (as suggested by the owner) and the train was easy to take and took away any of the hassles of parking in a busy city centre. But just enjoying the pleasures of walking the promenade and having a beverage at one of the various outdoor establishments overlooking the lake might be our favourite memory. Overall, we have stayed at a number of HomeAway or VRBO properties in Europe, Canada, and the United States, and I can honestly say that the property and the service provided by the owner is right at the top. A week is really not enough in this part of the world - and at this beautiful property -- so plan accordingly.

Summary: You might not think of the Ammersee when visiting Bavaria but this place was perfect. An easy train ride to Munich and a beautiful drive through the country side to visit all the castles in the area. Best of all you come back to these fantastic sunsets, walks on the promenade , lovely restaurants and you very own villa. The villa is as beautiful as the photos and filled with wonderful little touches that make you feel at home. Stephen is a great host from the first contact to meeting us there and the incredible orientation book he has created. I have stayed at many vacation rentals and have never seen such a comprehensive book! He was in contact with us all though our stay. 5 stars maybe too low for this beautiful property!

Summary: Absolutely beautiful apartment and with amazing view and location on Ammersee - wow!! Stephan communicated with us so well from the booking day through the last day of our vacation. While we were in Germany - we were able to communicate with him via Whatsapp. Stephan met us at the apartment, made us feel at home immediately, and walked us through giving us detailed information. Very clean and stylish apartment!! Perfect balcony with incredible views of the lake. So close to the S-Bahn to go to Munich or anywhere in Germany. Walking distance to many great restaurants, cafes, grocery shops, bars, Etc, Andechs, the ferry that takes you around the lake, and so many other options. We only went into Munich 3 times during our 10 day visit ... Because we never wanted to leave Herrsching and the apartment :-)) The boardwalk in front of the apartment is fantastic with great bars, beautiful walk ... Bier gardens ... Cafes ... Boat rentals.
