Our home is in the north London borough of Barnet.
It is on a new private housing estate in a quiet residential area composed of typically English houses, in the grounds of an old historical (listed) building which has now been converted into luxury apartments.
It is 1 minute walk from New Southgate’ rail station, from which, in 20 minutes you are in the heart of London and 5 minutes walk from Arnos grove underground station, which is on the Picadilly line and from here the tube train takes 20 minutes to reach Picadilly. You can also take direct trains to heathrow airport from here.
Local buses also stop at the top of the road, (100meters) so it is ideal for visiting the sights, business and shopping trips and then a relaxing show or dinner before returning to peace and quiet, away from the traffic of London.
There are shops, restaurants and all necessities within 5 minutes walk.
From the back of the house, over the small garden, you can see the famous ‘Alexander Palace’.
The house is composed of a fully equipped kitchen and living/dining area on the ground floor, this leads out through French windows to the small landscaped garden. Where there are dining chairs and table for al fresco dining in the summer months. Also on the ground floor, there is also a small bedroom with 2 single beds and an en suite bathroom, with shower unit, sink and toilet.
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one with super king size bed and the other with king size bed, there are fitted cupboards in both bedrooms. The bathroom has a new walk in shower, toilet and sink.
There is carpeting on the stairs and throughout the bedrooms and new wood flooring downstairs.
It is a lovely little ‘castle’, cosy and warm in the winter, sunny and restful in the summer

Summary: Clean, as described, sufficient for six adults, good neighborhood and hostess was easy and helpful to communicate with. Because of a five hour flight delay we came in later than expected on a Sunday and did not know that businesses close early. The nearest open restaurant that we found was the Chinese restaurant, Wonder Food, 95 Frien Barnet Road. They are very friendly there and food is very good. We actually ate there three nights. To get there, you walk out to Regal Street and up the hill. At the top of the hill (Frien Barnet Road)you go to your left and you will find them on the right. It is not very far. There is also a CO OP and a few shops in the strip if you need to pick up groceries, which we did. One is called the The Green Grocer. The New Southgate station is literally a two minute walk from this home. We were able to successfully get in and out of London every day using the rail service from New Southgate. One day we took the bus, which means you have to cross over to the next street just beyond the rail station. This was at 4 o’clock in the morning and still it was very easy and we had no difficulties . Thank you for having us in your lovely London home!

Summary: This home was everything it said it was. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was 34 stops on the tube from the airport. We ubered after that.

Summary: This was our first trip to London, and we wanted to get a real feel for the City. Staying here gave us an opportunity to stay in a genuine London flat at a great price! It was very convenient being so close to a train station. We had no need for a car, and we walked a short distance to get groceries at ALDI. We had seven adults, and an infant, and were comfortable. We would stay here again. It had all the amenities needed for a great trip to London!

Summary: Overall it was a good stay. I just wish they had some local TV channels. They did have some kind of streaming for a few channels but they were unwatchable as it was all garbled up.

Summary: Home was pretty much exactly as advertised. Very convenient to train station and tube stop for access to the city, but far enough out to be very quiet. Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen appliances, dishes, etc. Can't overstate how nice a clothes washer is when traveling with family. Spouse and I plus three kids (15-22) had more than enough room to play together and have time apart when needed. Being able to take the Piccadilly line direct from Heathrow is also a very nice bonus when you're a bit brain-dead from an overnight flight. Would definitely look at this property again on next trip to London.
