Sorrento Bay is situated 30 minutes (depending on traffic) from the Wellington Airport and 20 minutes from the city centre. In close proximity are the seaside villages of Petone and Eastbourne, both boasting great cafes, restaurants, boutique shopping and galleries. You will also find all other essential amenities here.
There are a number of walking tracks in the surrounding hills or you could stroll around the waterfront to the neighbouring bays. Enjoy the local beach or take a short drive to the popular Days Bay beach or any of the other beaches lining the coastal drive to the village of Eastbourne. You're spoilt for choice.

Summary: Lovely property with lots of artistic and quirky touches. All good quality with excellent facilites, space and views. Thoughtful welcome provisions and particulaly lovely home made muesli cookies and presrves. Didnt need to brave the stairs to upper bedroom as just the two of us. Helpful hosts. All in all, an excellent stay.

Summary: We stayed here for 3 nights. The views are spectacular. It was a good location for exploring Wellington and also for our early ferry crossing to the South Island. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The hosts are friendly and helpful.

Summary: Quirky, funky little place with great views. Easy drive around the bays & access to Wellington via the ferry. Tricky driveway with a large vehicle, but otherwise great little pad.

Summary: Beautiful spot with a beautiful view. Appreciated the little touches with milk, butter etc. It saved us having to find a supermarket for a cuppa when we arrived. Gill and her husband live next door so handy if we needed anything. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are tricky, and despite Gill communicating that they were tricky to navigate, maybe letting people know that the width to get up them was about 30-40cm maybe? Child bearing hips made it a little tight for us mums to get up there! Overall was a lovely place to stay and I would love to come back with Hubby in the near future

Summary: It's love at first sight with this quirky property! Views for days and sun streams in which makes this the ideal getaway. Hosts very welcoming and breakfast supplies hit the spot. Only thing to note other than the steep drive (low gear a must!) is the narrow staircase to the upstairs bedroom - if you're blessed with being bodacious then getting up to the room will induce much laughter as contortion is required, the bedroom on the level below is more suitable in this case 😊 Overall, top notch stay!
