Particularly suitable for families with children, for those who need silence and peace, for those who love the sea, the beaches and the river but want to retreat in the evening to relax, in the cool (no need for air conditioning), maybe dining in the garden and be enchanted by the beauty of the starry sky and the meadows lit by fireflies. the only sounds you'll hear are the bleating of sheep, the song of summer cicadas and the rustling of the nearby Gottero river!
The Maimonrose house is an independent villa renovated in winter 2013, it is completely immersed in greenery right above the river of the village of Sesta Godano, with our adjacent house, in a beautiful estate of our property in Maimone (not detectable by navigators, it's just us!) but reachable from the center of the village of Sesta Godano in 1 minute by car and 5 minutes on foot. The house has a sleeping area formed by three bedrooms, one double with wardrobe, one triple with double bed and very comfortable sofa bed and wardrobe and one double with 2 single beds; then there is the bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet, sink and a beautiful open plan equipped kitchen with dining room, stereo, satellite TV and sofa. Furthermore you can enjoy the surrounding garden equipped with barbecue, chairs, table and umbrella, private parking and laundry. The house is also covered by free wifi.

Summary: Our stay here could not have been more enjoyable. Renato and Laura were discrete and excellent hosts and Maimonrose was spacious and cool inside. The local village has an excellent supermarket, and the Cinque Terre coast, Lucca and Torre del Lago were all within easy reach. I hope to stay there again in the future.

Summary: The property is ideally located being very quiet and private but just a short walk to the town of Sesta Godano, with great views of forested hills from the detached dwelling. The property is very clean, well equipped and spacious. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and whilst they are close-by, are not intrusive and are really lovely people. The communication via the VRBO app to the hosts delegated relative was exceptional being prompt, flexible and in perfect English. The property is perfectly situated for days out to numerous places of interest in the eastern Liguria and beyond. Would highly recommend.

Summary: We had a great stay in this house. Very clean, enough space (2 adults, 3 children). Beds were fine. Garden with a view on the hills. The children loved to swim in the river nearby (and we also, while it was very warm...). The coast is about 30 minutes drive, so it was ok for us. We loved the quietness of Sesto Godano when we came back in the evening. We warmly recommend this beautiful place!!!!

Summary: A well appointed house, lacking nothing and meticulously clean. Laura and Renato are perfect hosts - friendly and helpful. We enjoyed fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden, and we learned the joys of fried zucchini blossom (thanks Laura!) We enjoyed sitting in the garden with a glass or two of local wine, listening to the birds, the sheep and the church bells. Sesto Godano is a quiet town, and suited us perfectly. It's within easy reach of the Cinque Terre (park in Levanto and take the train). We spent a lot of time exploring the wonderful little mountain villages, away from the crowds. And the people are warm and friendly. Recommended without reservation.

Summary: We had a very pleasant time in a beautiful house in an inspring surrounding. Far away from the busy cinque terre, although that was 20 min. by car. beautiful rooms with view, perfect garden, surrounded by the sheeps. The church nearby had a beautiful carillon. The rec ieving host and his wife wre very gentile. The house itself very modern and clean, certainly a place to come back if you want to avoid the crowds.

Summary: We spent wonderful days at this spacious and well equipped house. Renato and Laura Bornia are such genorous and kind hosts, so that we felt very comfortable. From the house and ist garden we had a nice view on the mountains, the village with its Shops, Restaurants and Cafes is nearby but still far enough, that you have the Feeling of living in the nature. The only sounds we heard were the sheep around the house and the bells of the nearby church. Our Kids enjoyed to swim in the river in 3 minutes Walking distance. The beach recommended by our hosts in Bonassole was a fourty minutes drive but worth it. The Val de Vara is a great area to spend your Holiday, if you like the countryside, idyllic villages, Walking in the mountains and also want to spend time on the beach. Diciamo tanto grazie a Renato e Laura Bornio e speriamo di tornarci presto!
