Summary: I would highly recommend staying here. This beautiful home was immaculate and well appointed. (great kitchen) The location was great; a short walk to the lake and the rail trail as well as being within an hour's drive of Nelson, Nakusp & Castlegar. Alex, Gabrielle and Maureen were wonderful hosts. They responded quickly, went above and beyond for our later than planned check-in. We had a wonderful experience here and hope to come back. (Slocan is a very friendly village)

Summary: We loved this historic old Victorian house with all Its modern . conveniences. It was so tastefully decorated. I felt like I was in a movie. So relaxing in spite of the fires, helicopters overhead and smoky skies. The gardens were out of this world. Our hosts couldn't been kinder. As someone with respiratory issues. I appreciated the way they kept the interior of the house smoke free and very comfortable. We all would all love to return to this most special place. Thank you!. .

Summary: Excellent stay in the most charming house ever! We loved the house’s vibe and quirks, and it was perfect for our family’s visit to Slocan (5 adults + 1 child). Alex & Gabrielle were exceedingly friendly, communicative, and helpful, and the house is within blocks of everything in Slocan - beach, market, coffee shop, etc. Could not have asked for a better experience and will definitely stay here next time we visit the area. Highly recommend!

Summary: We had a nice time in Slocan at Swan House. Alex was great to deal with - a good communicator. The house was in a good location - minutes from the beach and the rail trail. The kitchen was spacious and really well equipped. The gas fireplace was wonderful to curl up in front of in the chilly autumn evenings.

Summary: After a busy summer & weekend of unrelenting call, to land at the Swan House was a blessing! Alex was super accommodating with our limited dates & Gabrielle’s garden was a refreshing experience to come back to each evening. We can’t say enough good things about our stay! Hopefully we can come back sometime with our boys!

Summary: We used this home as a base to explore the Slocan Valley. What a joy to come back to this beautiful and unique house every evening. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking all meals. Just to sit in each room and relax and enjoy the surroundings of the collections and the old home feel was wonderful. So many choices outside to enjoy the yard too. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. Contact with the owner was always immediate. We have stayed in many different places over the years in BC and Alberta and we can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this property!!

Summary: This home could not have been more perfect for our families celebration of my Mom's 70th birthday, it had a million beautiful heritage home touches - they didn't miss a single detail in designing or maintaining this gorgeous property! The yard is absolutely HUGE with a stunning backyard space absolutely perfect for a large family BBQ, complete with a bar, table that easily seats 14+ people, outdoor mini fridge, etc. The large wrap around covered deck was perfect to store our bikes and other outdoor toys for the kids and made for lovely morning relax time sipping on our coffees. The house was fully stocked with all kitchen needs you may have, everything was SPOTLESS and they made us feel very welcomed by checking in as soon as we arrived and throughout our stay. We are grateful they opened up their home to us and would most definitely stay here again!
