Summary: It is nothing short of a privilege to be able to stay at Anchuca. A superb house with a wonderful heritage and history. The meal in the restaurant was wonderful, excellent food and great service. We would happily stay for a month. The bedroom was very well appointed and super comfy. Finally a special shout out to the breakfast server who talked with real depth of knowledge about the siege and the role that the house played during and after the siege. You would not be disappointed.

Summary: The floor in the room where we stayed slanted significantly. Also, we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs by ourselves. There was no advance notice of this. Bed was not comfortable. Dinner food was good, but the breakfast was not: a scoop of grits, bacon, and some fruit. At night we could hear the people in the dining room below us. In the morning, the cleaning staff was on the patio below us and talking loudly

Summary: We came for one night, didn’t realize we couldn’t eat dinner there because of renovations! Maybe should have been given heads up! Breakfast was good and hosts were excellent

Summary: Anchuca is an absolutely beautiful historic home in Vicksburg, MS. We stayed in a lovely room that was not in the main house. We dined at the restaurant for dinner and had a wonderful meal and an excellent time. Breakfast the next morning was very good. We will definitely return.
