Summary: This property was everything it states, and yet it’s even better in reality! The space is huge, and has every single thing you might need. I literally *LOVED* the fireplaces, the kitchen, the bed, the Ugg towels were delicious, even the sheets and bedspread SMELLED like heaven!!! Witching 5 minutes, you’ll find a Walmart and a liquor store for stocking up😉 and multiple restaurants! It’s minutes from civilization, and close enough to the casinos to enjoy them, yet retreat to your secluded, romantic getaway! So cozy and warm, I could have lived there forever, and will most DEFINITELY be back again! Do NOT ‘wait’ to book this gem!!

Summary: This home away from home had every little thing that you could ever need or want! The owners put so many little - and big - touches to make it feel like home. From the water fountain, coffee and tea, blankets and throws, luxurious linens, chocolates, fire, games, books, lists of places to see or eat. The place was spotless, quiet, but not far from anything that we wanted to do. Skip was very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back. 5 stars all the way!! Becky & Shawn

Summary: pictures do nit do the place justice. Kitchen, bed, shower are top tier! Would stay at the place just for the spacious and clean rooms.

Summary: My wife and I have stayed in a lot of B&Bs and VRBO properties, and this one is the best! Charming, Colonial period living space and bedroom, along with modern kitchen and bathroom. Spotless, attractive furnishings; and QUIET! 2 TVs with a multitude of channels. Reasonably priced, great communication. Can't say enough good things! We will definitely be back! Harry J.

Summary: Our stay, two nights in December, was wonderful - cozy and comfortable. The interior is beautiful and quite spacious. The photos don't do it justice. And it was immaculate. The back-to-back fireplaces in the main room and the bedroom added warmth and romance. The kitchen and the bathroom are modern and well equipped and convenient. Skip, the owner, communicated quickly and clearly, and we enjoyed meeting him and his wife and their two golden retrievers when we were checking out. We enjoyed the location, quiet but with things to do nearby. We'll return to enjoy it in warmer months.

Summary: I was looking for an unique property to getaway to, to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday. This historic home was exactly what we were looking. Perfectly decorated and stocked. We enjoyed playing board games, snuggling in the cozy chairs with a book, and walking the trails at Hopeville Pond State Park. We will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Summary: From the pre-booking to the departure, the experience was an exemplary model of how a VRBO property should be ran. When we originally were looking at locations, we initially contacted Skip with a question and his quick response was greatly appreciated. When we arrived, we were totally impressed with how clean the place was and all the thoughtful touches throughout. From the chalkboard greeting and information, to the detailed information in regards to the area, Skip and Cheryl left no stones un-turned.(Buttonwood Farms ice cream....YUM!!!) The place is perfectly decorated and stocked which makes for a comfortable and relaxed stay. The step stool in the master bedroom was an ideal touch to be able to access the bed easier. There were two dogs on the property, but they were so well-mannered that they went unnoticed. The property is perfect for taking day trips to multiple locations and is the perfect spot if you enjoy the casino. We can't thank Skip enough for checking in with us several times to make sure all was well. I was going to give this review 1 star because I am afraid once more people are aware of it, I would not be able to book it again in the future. Which we definitely are looking at already. Thank you Skip and Cheryl for opening up your property for others to enjoy.
