Positive: Beautiful location, amazing little apartment perfect for a week on the beautiful island of Kythira.
Negative: Very hard to contact to check in as we didn’t have ability to call the owners and they didn’t reply to messages! But we figured it out eventually - they had put a note on the apartment we were in’s door with our name and the key was in the lock.
Summary: Beautiful week in Diakofti.

Positive: It was nice to park right by the building and not having to worry about the parking. There was allocated space right by the building which we found very helpful. Location is great, if you are looking for a strategic stay with a nice view.
Negative: We met a guy who was working at the Apartments, and somehow he expected us to know where the Appartment was and that the keys were left in the door. After a few questions from my wife who is greek, we managed to get to the Appartment. That wasn't very professional and not a great experience. After getting into the apartment, we found out that it wasn't what we had rented for the stay, the entrance was to a kitchenette, with a bunker bed stuffed in there, we could barely stand, and the bedroom wasn't big, whereas we had rented an apartment with a living room that has a sofa bed, so that was really disappointing and the space was really small, so small that we couldn't physically fit with a luggage. It wasn't what we had rented for the stay. Spoke to the host and she did offer us another apartment from the next day, so we spent half of our stay in a much smaller apartment. Place was not very clean, and seemed knackered, not well maintained, the excuse was that there is a building site behind it, hence the dust.
Summary: Good location, more suitable for couples with no children. Disappointed with the space and the state

Positive: Location and water views, up the hill from the beach. Great apartment with everything you needed. Very helpful host, ease of checkin. Washing machine available.

Positive: Loved the outdoor seating areas, this apartment had 2 depending on your preference, sun vs shade. Windows fitted with screens, nice pillow options and a later checkout time. If you are a hiker, this apartment is very close to 2 different trailheads. Parking available if you have a rental car.

Positive: The apartment is really well-proportioned and the veranda has a great view of the bay. There's a handy little shop nearby and it's a 3 minute walk down to the two beaches. This was great value in low season and Matina is a lovely host.
