Angel Cottage is a sympathetically renovated cottage with charming original beamed ceilings and an exposed 16th century wall, combined with modern comforts and a relaxed feel. Located in Great Walsingham, the cottage is just a stone's throw away from the popular bustling seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea. The cottage takes its name from the 15th century sculpture (now headless thanks to The Reformation!) on the front of the cottage.
Enter the cottage through the back door into the generous social dining area boasting ample seating around a traditional farmhouse table. This area flows into the inviting cosy sitting room with large comfy sofas accompanied by a Smart television. Ignite the wood burning stove in the feature fireplace on a chilly evening and nestle in. The beautiful country style kitchen is well-equipped, hosting an Aga and breakfast table. Off the kitchen is a utility room offering washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and Belfast sink. This leads through to a convenient downstairs shower room.
Off the feature landing on the first floor is a master bedroom featuring a wrought iron king-size bed, a second bedroom bedroom with king-size bed, and a generous third bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. The bedrooms are served by a spacious family bathroom. The cottage offers comfortable accommodation for up to seven guests, ensuring a good nights sleep for all. Outside is an enclosed garden with lawn leading from a patio area with garden furniture and charcoal barbecue, perfect for enjoying local produce in the warm summer sun. The cottage has a gravelled area with off-road parking for two cars.
Angel Cottage is located just across the road is the Walsingham Cafe, famous for its pies and pastries. The popular coastal resort of Wells-next-the-Sea is a ten minute drive away.

Summary: Had an amazing week in Great Walsingham Angel Cottage, Mike the owner was in touch before we arrived & during our stay, very helpful & caring, would definitely go again. My husband myself daughter & 2 grandchildren stayed & thoroughly enjoyed it! The location is central for a few well known beaches/towns, weather wasnt great but didnt dampen the mood!

Summary: We stayed at Angel Cottage for my mum's 60th birthday. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet area with plenty of places close by to visit. It is well equipped with everything you will need. The welcome of some local jam, spring flowers and had written note were a very nice touch indeed and the house was lovely and warm. The living room is comfortable and cosy with a wood burning fire. The downstairs shower room was really useful. Communication with the owner was very good and the cottage was easy to find and access. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Great location, quiet, well equipped cottage. Low beams an issue for tall people. Lovely quiet and private courtyard, a real suntrap in good weather. Excellent nearby cafe!

Summary: Angel cottage is an absolutely first class getaway in Norfolk. The property is both spacious and cosy with fabulous outside space in which to relax and entertain. The owner is extremely helpful and keen to ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one. Great Walsingham is an idyllic and exceptionally quiet location with a number of memorable features such as the beautiful little Orthodox Church and the ford crossing. The north Norfolk coast is only a few miles away and there is no shortage of interesting places to visit. We had a most enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to recommend Angel cottage.
