Positive: The staff were attentive and great! Seemless process from arrival at the Velena airport, to getting on board the sea plane. A very well oiled machine. The in ocean villa was breathtaking and met all expectations.
Negative: Very minor consideration- more frequent boat rides between land and in ocean villas

Positive: Angsana was wonderful all staff were fantastic we enjoyed our stay beautiful resort beach is beautiful nice food and drinks. But our stay was tarnished due to the fact that our booking was confirmed with a 50 percent discount on the sea plane we had it in writing but the resort refused to accept this and said to take it up with booking.com I emailed customer service 3 times and to date no one has come back to me re my emails or this issue very disappointing and frustrating booking.com is great until you have an issue then Good luck trying to get on to someone to help you very bad service. I have spent thousands with them but not anymore!
Negative: The ferry times that take you to the main island are not often enough which made us spend most of our time on the villa side and there is not much to do there this needs looking into and the breakfast at Azzuri is not up to standard not enough selection and food was very repetitive.

Positive: Both water villas and beach villas were comfy and clean. One of the main advantages of this place is the Staff. They were super responsive and polite. I would certainly recommend this place for a visit.
Negative: The restaurant in the in-ocean villas has less choice of food than the ones on the beach.

Positive: The welcome we received, from Velana Airport to the break in the business lounge and all the way to the resort, was warmly appreciated. Our ocean villa was superb and flawless. There are four restaurants in the resort; one within the ocean villa premises and three inland. Azzuro and Kaani Restaurants were the ones we frequented during our three-night stay. Azzuro was amazing, thanks to their friendly staff, particularly Suraj, and Kaani Restaurant impressed us with its buffet-style meals with the lovely beach views. All daily meals were fresh and thoroughly enjoyed.
Negative: I had an excellent stay and rate it 9/10. However, there are a few areas where the resort and staff could improve to create a true 10/10 experience. 1) Some waiters at Kaani Restaurant could be more attentive and kind to guests. There were a few instances where two of the waiters were either passive-aggressive, for no particular reason, towards us (two very harmless ladies). One night, the elderly waiter refused to let us sit at an unreserved table. Again, on another night, he completely ignored taking our order and took a long time to attend to us. We remained kind and respectful to everyone throughout our stay, despite the unfair treatment we experienced on a few occasions. The elderly waiter later apologized for his behaviour on our last day at the resort and made us necklaces from palm tree leaves. All we ask is that all paying guests be treated with the same level of respect and dignity as others at the resort in the future. This could be resolved with awareness and more training regarding unconscious biases. 2) More frequent ferry rides between the island and ocean villas would also help, as we sometimes felt rushed trying to balance activities and meal times. 3) It would be beneficial to have a first aid kit and an eye-wash station at reception. On our departure day, my friend had an eye irritation from the infinity pool’s chlorinated water. She was told she'd need to ferry to the island, wait for a doctor (available only at set times), and pay US$50 for an appointment. Something a simple eye-wash station could have easily resolved. 5) Watersports activities were nearly double the price compared to other local islands. 4) Lastly, I was almost double-charged for my seaplane return ticket and green tax (US$571), both of which had been prepaid on arrival but were mistakenly added to our final bill.
