Positive: We stayed at the apartment Cameleon in old town Dubrovnik for 3 amazing nights. Nikša our host is a wonderful host and human being. He met us outside the city walls and walked us to the apartment, helped with the luggage and did a comprehensive orientation to the apartments and the town. What can I say, the apartment was spotless, probably the cleanest space we have stayed while traveling. Modern on the inside and equipped with everything one may want or need during a vacation. The fridge was stocked with fresh local fruit, wine, juice, milk and bottled water. Beach towels provided. The location is perfect, a short distance outside the main hustle and bustle, but still within the city walls close to restaurants and shops. We wanted to do a private day sailing trip on the Adriatic Sea and through his contacts Nikša found a small local operator to do our trip, which was exactly what we were looking for and very relaxing.

Positive: It was perfectly situated near Pile Gate, that is to say, not too far to go with luggage (though our wonderful host helped us with ours!). The apartment was very clean (like new!) and well laid out with all the amenities to help make any stay, long or short, very comfortable. It was quiet yet close to many restaurants, bars, and cafes located at the foot of the stone stairs which are just outside the front door. But honestly, nothing is far in the Old Town. Both bedrooms and one full bath are upstairs. The beds are comfortable and on the firmer side (which I loved). There’s no room to do your yoga ;), but plenty of space to unpack and make yourself at home. There are two full bathrooms, 1 on each level, a washing machine, and a full kitchen - small but mighty! The small couch in the living room is comfy and there’s a generously sized TV if you really must have a screen. Finally, and no less important as all the rest of it, our host was truly a gem, from the moment we booked to our good-byes at the gate, he was available to assist and assure that our time in Dubrovnik would be memorable -in the best way! In short, if this place is available and accommodates your party, grab it!
Negative: I can’t think of a thing!

Positive: Apartment was right in the heart of the old town , near one of the gates and all the restaurants and historic/tourist sites. In my opinion a perfect base location to experience everything Dubrovnik has to offer. Yes it's a busy area with tourists. Yes you have to climb some stairs and walk a bit to get to the apartment as the old town is not accessible by car but this is part of the experience and charm of immersing yourself in the area you are visiting. Beaches are close. Some walkable some just a short taxi/uber ride. There are tons of restaurants and groceries stores right outside your door. Surprisingly though at night once you close the windows , the apartment was very quiet inside. The Apartment itself was perfect. Everything you might need or maybe forgot was there like shampoo, sunscreen , blow dryer even had a straightner. Beach towels were also there which we really appreciated even though we brought our own was good to have just incase. The washer was also perfect as we came during some hot weather and had to do some more frequent clothes changing than planned. Speaking of hot weather, the air conditioning worked perfect . Kitchen was well equipped. The owner left some nice fruit and staples like milk , water and beer wine in the fridge which was super generous. He came when we arrived to see if we needed anything and helped us figure out where everything was with a map and dropped some more fruit off mid stay. We did not run into any issues during our stay but owner was available anytime for questions via whats app which was also nice. Overall super comfortable stay in the apartment. Cannot wait to come back and stay a little longer next time.
Negative: I can honestly say there was nothing I did not like about the apartment or the area.

Positive: Nikša was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to make our stay in Dubrovnik unforgettable. He greeted us upon arrival, helping with our luggages and giving us a thorough tour of the apartment. He even gave local recommendations and took the time to explain the city map in detail. The apartment itself was very clean and well-stocked, including the fridge with fresh fruits, juice, milk, wine and beer and bottled water. Its prime location in the heart of Old Town also made it incredibly convenient for all of our activities. Throughout our stay, Nikša frequently checked in on us via WhatsApp to ensure we had everything we needed and if we had any questions that he could answer. He was always willing to go the extra mile, such as personally helping us navigate the city and even serving as somewhat of a local guide at times. On the day we left, Nikša came to assist with luggages and send us off. We travel often and have had many hosts before, but none have ever matched Niksa’s level of hospitality and attentiveness. We had a very enjoyable stay thanks to Nikša and we highly recommend Apartment Cameleon to anyone visiting Dubrovnik.

Positive: Niksa is an amazing host. He received us and even helped us bring our luggage to the apartment. Dubrovnik Old Town is wonderful and you will need to navigate steps to get to any place of stay. This apartment location is perfect - only a few steps up the lane - so easy to get there. Next lane is full of restaurants and Promenade (main street) is just a min away. Best part is Niksa is super responsive - he sat down with us and helped us plan out the days. It's clean and Niksa and his wife have spent a ton of effort in adding all modern comforts and rebuilt it inside - looks brand new to me. He connected us with GREAT tour guide, boat tour and taxi for going around the town. I haven't had a similar experience with any other host over the years! Apartment is GREAT VALUE for the money but Niksa makes it so much MORE worth it!

Positive: The apartment was everything we had hoped for and exactly what the listing states, very central location, well appointed and the host was extremely helpful. The host (Niksa) met us at the gates to oldtown and helped with locating the apartment and the bags. The apartment is so central, cannot rate it enough. Having 2 bathrooms and individual aircons in each room was just the cherry on top!

Positive: The place was incredible / magical and everything you needed was there at your finger tips. Every detail was thought of - even shaving cream and laundry detergent. Niksa helped us out with tours as well, a private walking tour and a private boat tour. Both tours were exceptional and the location and cleanliness of the place was top notch. LOVED every minute of our time there. Thank you Niksa - we will miss you!

Positive: We particularly liked the warm personal attention we received from our host throughout our stay, from meeting us when we arrived late in the evening, personally handing over the apartment keys and giving us very useful advice about the location to saying good bye to us with a lovely parting gift at the end of our stay. The apartment is part of a historic building and was surprisingly modern inside, and comes well stocked with fruits, chocholate, beer, wine and home-made liqueur all on the house. It is in a quiet location with no traffic noise but at the same time situated just a couple of flights of stairs off the main street Stradun which leads to all the major attractions in the Old Town.
Negative: There was nothing that we particularly didn't like. Quite the opposite. The very high standard of care and comfort we experienced really exceeded our expectations.
Summary: The personal attention and comfort provided were excellent. Definitely better than the Hilton!
