Positive: The apartment was well set out, cleaned, and contained everything needed. Nice added touches like coffee sugar, cool water in the fridge, and more. Mini market 5 mins walk away. Very central.

Negative: For a solo female traveller, the area did not feel safe. There was a lot of graffiti, closed up shops, and businesses.

Positive: The location was exactly what I was hoping for, and I loved the arty twist (Including the Escher influenced flooring in the foyer), each room was named after an artist...I had the Dali room 😍 The apartment was spacious and clean, very easy walking distance to most historic features around the city. Entry to the building was easy, and the building had a lot of character. There is no lift, so be prepared for some exercise up and down the stairs. There is no AC, but the windows let plenty of air in, and there was a fan in the bedroom. There was a decent fridge plus cooking facilities, so this place is perfect for an extended stay. The manager was very helpful with some of my queries.

Negative: I really liked everything, but if I had a criticism it would be: Flannel sheets in summer heat are awful, and I was hot all night. Cotton would have been far nicer. Also, it might be time to invest in some new towels, the ones left for me smelt musty after one use. The shower drain was quite smelly, but I think this is more about old buildings than a specific issue. The shower drained well, which is great, considering many hotel showers don't.
