Positive: This place was beyond cute. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, the views gorgeous, and location spectacular. Just a few minutes from the Waitomo caves and a shorter drive the other way to a great short hike that has glowworms also (fantastic free thing, highly recommend). The hosts even left headlamps for the hike. I also liked that they were real locals, not just an Airbnb investor- you can tell in the quality of everything.
Negative: Absolutely nothing.

Positive: Peaceful, quiet. Very comfy bed. Beautiful surroundings . The walk over the farm was an excellent idea we would like to have done but didn’t have time. Similarly the walk to see the glow worms at night for which head torches were provided. Very thoughtful.

Positive: The room was perfect so comfortable and spacious. In a lovely place, we went on a beautiful farm walk and was given a guide on where to walk, it was also a 5 mins away from the glow worm caves! The host’s were friendly and lovely, they even left us a breakfast which is a lovely special touch, it was absolutely delicious! The sunset was gorgeous seeing all the farm animals. Last night was spectacular we have never seen the sky so clear full of stars, we even saw the Milky Way! We absolutely loved our stay!
Negative: Wish we could have stayed more than 1 night!

Positive: Perfectly positioned just a short drive from the caves but away from the tourist hotspot. Liz & Rob were great hosts - very welcoming but left us in private. Our apartment was spotless & had everything we needed plus a very comfortable bed. The night walk to Aranui cave to see the glow worms in ‘the wild!’ Was super special but the star gazing was immense. I suggest downloading your favourite star gaze app & use it near the apt so you still have wi-Fi - it was incredible.
