The Montecito Modern is a spacious 750 sq. ft. architectural guest house built in 2023 to the highest specifications. With views of the Hollywood sign and the Hollywood Hills, this stylish space is the perfect home base to explore Los Angeles, Pasadena, and all the best of Southern California.
In this architectural-award winning house (featured in Dwell Magazine) with polished concrete floors, terrazzo-like concrete walls, and beautiful modern furniture, you’ll feel like you’re living the LA life!
Every amenity and piece of furniture is high quality. No fake plastic plants here!
The compact, full kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator drawers, induction cooktop, oven, ice maker, and plenty of cooking and dining gear.
The second (bed)room is a flexible space that can work as an office, den, dining room, or bedroom with Murphy bed with a full-size spring mattress. It has a door and can be closed off from the main living space.
Guests have full, private use of the guest house. The lower entrance patio and stairs are shared to enter the property. I (the owner) live in the main house behind the guest house.
Because I’ve always hated the late check-in and early check-out times of hotels and most vrbos, I offer super flexible check-in/out times.
No parties allowed. Four-guest maximum occupancy. Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7 am. Please note that there are two flights of stairs to access the guest house. If you can’t use stairs easily, this probably isn’t the house for you. Max stay: 15 nights
