Contemporary hillside solar home on over 1/2 acre with mega views! Steel elements, green design, sliding doors, multiple decks and patios, and iPad controlled automation system. Kitchen, living and dining areas include skylights, fireplace and large deck. Master suites one + two offer views, patios and spa-like baths. Detached casita offers views, fireplace and bath. Custom pool with custom water display, spa, misting system and 360 degree views.
This ultra energy efficient desert home with spectacular views across the entire Coachella Valley is a showcase of modern design and technology. It was constructed in 2003 as the “Energywise House”, under the supervision of noted “This Old House” program host, Bob Vila.
The home is on a 1/2 acre lot in a very private enclave in the Mesa neighborhood of Palm Springs, and features 3005 square feet of unique living space, including a private guest house, large pebble tech salt water pool and spa, beautiful desert landscaping and an electronically operated gate for utmost privacy.
The main house has a spectacular great room that opens to the full-length balcony through Fleetwood sliders that disappear into the walls. It also features a dramatic gas fireplace. The kitchen boasts a Subzero refrigerator and separate wine cooler, maple cabinetry, Caesar stone counters, Decor commercial grade gas stove and oven, built-in Decor microwave, Kitchen Aid trash compactor, garbage disposal, and a top-of-the line dishwasher.
The two main house master suites each have their own terraced patios and large bathrooms featuring oversized showers (one of which opens to a desert garden). The large private guest house includes a coffee bar with refrigerator, and a fireplace.

Summary: This was the best home we’ve stayed in at Palm Springs. Clean, spacious with a fantastic pool. Every room has its own suite. Marcio was a great host and communicated with us very well. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend this home.

Summary: My friend and I decided to catch some sun in Palm Springs. We mainly wanted to stay by the pool. This house was perfect for it. The neighborhood was quiet and not too far away from everything we needed. It was only 11 minute drive to the airport but you don’t hear any airport noise. It was a lovely and clean house with very friendly contacts. Communication was great. There were a couple of downfalls, but nothing that would stop us from visiting again. We did not contact anyone to fix anything, so we blame no one but thought we would point out what we found. Due to limited space, I will be short. Master bathroom: slow draining sink, no bathroom outlets near sink, outlet in bedroom was under nightstand in floor, had shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner, Mixed matched products. Second master, slow draining bathroom sink, no shelves in shower, bar of soap with men’s shampoo/conditioner and a conditioner bottle also mismatched. Only outlet in bathroom across from sink near floor and loose connection. Couldn’t figure out TV controls. Main house: gate clicker never worked. Lights throughout house, kind of difficult to figure out, heater on deck did not work, no fitness area as shown in ad, tricky, getting pool heated, but worked, living room sofa torn. Minor damage to outdoor furniture, probably due to elements. Didn’t check barbecues, but there were two of those. Probably not a house I would take clients to, to impress them, but a great stay for us and a very quiet neighborhoo

Summary: This is the only place we’ll stay when visiting Palm Springs. The open and airy feeling of this home and the elevated views are unbeatable. The saltwater pool and jacuzzi are also a highlight. Marcio is wonderful to work with as well! The entire stay is effortless and extremely enjoyable. We never want to leave and look forward to coming back. Highly recommend this property!
