The Pod is a brand new, architecturally designed, ecologically sustainable rural luxury retreat for two. Nestled on a rural acreage in the rugged Blue Mountains between Hartley and Lithgow, this stunning studio has sweeping views of the majestic Hassans Walls. Just the place to relax, unwind and recharge.
The Pod was conceived by an ideal - to create a place where people can renew their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being simply by being close to nature. The Pod is in the valley below Hassans Walls, the highest lookout in the Blue Mountains at approximately 1100 metres above sea level.
The rural landscape is characterised by rounded hills, livestock pastures and native forests. A dam that is located on the property is a local watering hole for wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, ducks and livestock from adjoining properties.
The rugged natural setting belies the luxury of The Pod. Tastefully designed and equipped with all the modern conveniences, you can choose to just hide away. The kitchen is fully equipped including oven, cooktop, and microwave. Alternatively, the town of Lithgow is only 10 minutes away by car with a small selection of old-world and modern cafes and take away restaurants.
If you wish to explore beyond this idyllic retreat there is lots to keep you busy. Visit Jenolan Caves, Hassans Walls Lookout, Lake Lyell, historic town of Rydal, Tarana Pub, Glow Worm Tunnel, Mayfield Gardens and numerous bush walks throughout the Upper Blue Mountains region.
The Pod is air-conditioned and has an amazing slow combustion wood fireplace. Free to air TV is available via a high-quality satellite link as well as Netflix through a 4G wireless modem. Rainwater passes a dual filtration and purification system including ultraviolet treatment that is completely eco-friendly and chemical-free.

Summary: Stayed at this little pod for a three-night getaway, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Nestled in a serene setting, the cabin provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Loved waking up to the sound of birds chirping and spending our evenings looking at the stars. Donna was very helpful and provided a lot of information with points of interests and how to operate things in the pod. Only downside was that a few creepy crawlies were sneaking inside through small crevices but fortunately there was insecticide provided to help.

Summary: When we got to the cabin car park.we could not believe it. There was a very steep pathway down to the cabin .both my hubby and I are in to 70plus age. Getting down and up this very steep pathway was very dangerous for both of us. Then it started to rain. Well this made it harder again,for us to walk up and down. I do think this is a health hazard. And needs to be improved. Otherwise the accommodation was very clean tidy.and a great area to stay.

Summary: Perfect stay, quite and peaceful. My only suggestion would be to add some curtains for those that do want a little sleep in. But other then that I would suggest this place to everyone I know. It is just beautiful

Summary: Such beautiful accomodation in the heart of the Blue Mountains. My partner and I were very happy with our experience and have recommended it to friends and family. With a kitchen equipped with everything you need and a perfect sized fire place you do not need to even leave this beautiful place during your stay. We had a blackout and awful rainy weather and even then enjoyed being able to sit in front of the fire and enjoy the sounds of the bush. Perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Thank you Donna for answering our calls and keeping us updated with local electricity blackout information and for guiding us in finding extra fire wood. We will definitely be back!
