Positive: The soup, that we had as a snack in the evening, was excellent (Cullen Skink); just what we needed after eating a late lunch.

Negative: The extraction fan in the bathroom didn't appear to be working & we didn't see anyone when we were departing to report it to; and the over-mirror light in the bathroom wasn't working either (Room 11)

Positive: The view is good and most of the staff were very helpful.

Negative: Ullapool isn't cheap but don't think you are getting top-notch accommodation. We have stayed there before years ago and not much has changed. It's great when there is live music but otherwise, it is pretty basic and like many small hotels it's the attention to detail that let it down.
