Positive: The staff were really friendly and waited for us for a long time, which we really appreciated. This property has a lot of memories of Napier in 1930s.
Negative: The only thing that could have been better was the cleanliness of the bath towels and the bathroom mat.

Positive: Everything there is not one thing you could complain about. The rooms are even nicer than the photos. And so much detail with the art deco theme. You even have electric blankets. The breakfast choice was lovely especially with the bowl of fruit we were left. Biscuits to have with your tea. Laurie our host was exceptional, full of information and very helpful. Everything was wonderful.

Positive: The accommodation was as described and pictured. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Unique to the 1930’s period style and a real Art Deco experience. We didn’t even notice there was no TV and it’s only a very short drive into Napier city. Highly recommend and great value for money. Laurie was an excellent host and met us on check-in to provide a tour and overview of the accommodation and how everything worked!

Positive: We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Laurie's unique Art Deco accommodation. It is detached from his main house and very private. The attention to detail Laurie has given to furnishing this place is amazing and we really enjoyed chatting to him about the history and his 1930's acquisitions. The furnishings and beds etc are very clean and most comfortable. It's in a residential area just a few miles out of the town centre which suited us very well and we were easily able to drive or get Uber cabs into town and to the wineries etc. The breakfast goods selection and fresh bread Laurie kindly provided were over and above the property description and very much appreciated. We hope to return to NZ next year and if staying around Napier we will have no hesitation booking with Laurie again and will be recommending the same to friends and family.

Positive: We love staying at Laurie's place. It was a little bit out of time but we had a higher car which wasn't a problem. The place was very clean and comfortable and we loved the art decor touches... and we also appreciated the breakfast provision he had left for us 😀

Positive: Wonderful host who has created an amazing Art Deco style B&B. Laurie provided so many extra touches such as fruit bowl, basics if needed for breakfast, the best bed I’ve slept in all trip and a lovely courtyard to sit and read etc. Would highly recommend Laurie and the B&B as a must visit. Will definitely return if in Napier again.
