Positive: Staying overnight in the desert was quite an experience. Before entering the desert, I received clear instructions to have the tires of my 4*4 partially deflated at a recommended shop. Worked seamlessly. The journey through the desert to the camp is quite self explanatory, and with a proper car it is easy (even for a novice desert driver like me). The tent was marvellous. Spacious, enough for two persons, and the view is brilliant. The open air bath room tops it off. I joined the "desert bashing" experience, to watch the sunset from the dunes. Quite exciting to experience like this. Made some wonderful picture. The dinner was buffet style and I regard it as value for money. The breakfast in the main building was good to get the day started, with plenty of choice of warm and cold dishes. Good service, and attentive staff.
Negative: Dinner buffet appeared to be a bit of a standard selection you find in other accommodations as well, but this may have been a coincidence. For a bit more, a wider selection can be thrown in the mix.
Summary: Brilliant experience, good value for money, great way to have an introduction to the desert.

Positive: We can only say amazing things about our stay. We loved the location, the attention to detail and the peace here. Dinner and breakfast were incredibly good and the staff were very friendly. We are very thankful for the great day we spent here, and how the host took care of us.

Positive: A phenomenal stay at Atana Bidiyah private camp. Jassim and his crew know hospitality and will make your private desert stay a wonderful experience. You may believe this to be a once in a lifetime experience, but my heart is set on returning to the desert, to Bidiyah, and to Oman. The camp is the furthest one in the desert so we were very far from the town of Bidiyah and it’s light pollution- far enough away to see the beautiful night sky be-speckled with stars. The tent is well designed and faces east to capture the most beautiful sunrise you’ll ever see over the desert sand dunes. No match for what you’ll see on Dune or Tatooine. There were just a few tents at this camp making for a very private setting, with just a few friendly neighbors. The base of the camp is where we had meals. They prepared great dishes (buffet), and had vegetarian options too. After dinner, we sat outside with the few people at the camp and had some tea and conversation. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and sometimes there’s a fire at night. The camp also boasts eco tourism using solar cells and limits the use of plastics. It was very quiet (except for the winds). There’s a fully functioning open air, private, outdoor bathroom attached to our tent where you can shower under the stars. Keep in mind that you’ll be covered in a thin layer of sand and sometimes it gets very windy so some eye protection would’ve come in handy. Lastly, I highly recommend meeting the crew at the meeting point in Bidiyah and having them drive on the desert sand. Jassim picked us up, had great communication, and simply the most hospitable and nicest person you’ll ever meet. He stopped so we could say hi to the camels, take a few photos, and had a few laughs.

Positive: Nice little camp in the heart of the desert. The dinner and the breakfast had a wide variety of tasty dishes. After dinner, we could enjoy a tea outside, around the bonfire. The tent is comfortable and nicely furnished. The owners, as well as the staff, are super friendly and responsive. Highly recommended!
Negative: We arrived at the camp by ourselves, without using the pick-up service. The directions that we got were clear for most of the way. They could just be improved nerby the camp, to make clearer the turns to take to reach the camp from the main road that crosses the desert.

The location is fantastic — right in the heart of the desert, surrounded by beautiful dunes and perfect for watching the sunset and sunrise. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our tent was clean, comfortable, and well set up for a relaxing night in the desert. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Oman’s desert!

The new camp offers a distinctive view from its elevated location, allowing for clear views of both sunrise and sunset. It was a truly wonderful experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it, particularly during the lovely winter days.

Positive: Staff was very friendly and everything was clean! Dinner and breakfast was excellent for the remote location. Located about a 30min drive in the desert. Recommend to go before sunset, otherwise it's hard to find but with Google Maps it's still doable.
Negative: Since the bathroom has an open roof and it gets humid in the night, the floor gets very wet. Other that that, nothing!
