Positive: Every room is unique and special. We were lucky enough to be able to stay in two different rooms and both were great with amazing views of the lake and of course the sunset. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant was first rate. The hot tub overlooking the lake was a prefect spot to take in the sunset and the sauna was also a real treat.
Summary: Wonderful relaxing spot to experience Lake Atilan.

Positive: Amazing views. I visited a few towns on the lake and the view from the lodge was superb. I stayed in the studio and the view was great as well. The studio is well furnished and pretty comfortable. The studio was slightly dated. But not in a way that would make your stay uncomfortable. As long as you dont expect ritz carlton, you will enjoy your stay. There was a bit of noise occasionally as the accommodations are close to each other but i actually slept really well.
Negative: the restaurant was ok. Both breakfast and dinner were fine but not outstanding by any means. Same for drinks. My margarita contained some form of sparkling liquid.... and was too sweet. definite skip. but the micheladas were good.
Summary: Fantastic view (some of the best views on Lake Atitlan), reasonable prices.

Positive: The view is stunning over the lake and volcano. It is really nice and quiet. The renovated rooms were really nice - with a good view and modern, simple décor. It is right on the lake so perfect to swim in the lake right on the doorstep. You can only eat at the hotel restaurant, but it is really delicious and would highly recommend.
Negative: It is very isolated and there is only the hotel there - you need to flag down a boat to go anywhere and that would be quite impossible at night time as you have to go by boat. The only thing that I didn't love was that there is no reception at the property so it wasn't that easy to navigate practical things like one of the beds not being made up - and they just gave us our sheets to make up ourselves.

Positive: We really liked it here. Was great to have a private dock and terrace with access to paddle boards and kayaks. We stayed in the treehouse apartment which was gorgeous and definitely one of the nicest apartment of our 6 month trip. It was very clean and well stocked kitchen with all the appliances and crockery for cooking at home. Best to do a big shop at the supermarket on Panajachel as there is nothing in Santa Cruz and it’s about a 35 minute walk away.
Negative: The two docks and Sun loungers and communal hot tub were a bit more scruffy/weathered than in the pictures. Not sure if this was due to it being the end of the main tourist season, or perhaps some bad weather. Also the hot tub in our apartment on the balcony was dependent on there being enough hot water to fill it, which there wasn’t. So it’s probably better as a cold plunge in hot weather 😅 Finally, there were lots of dead fish in the lake. Not the properties fault but was just a bit sad to see.
Summary: Overall a nice complex with good facilities and direct access to the lake.

Positive: We stayed in the studio and just loved it!!! It was beautiful, and charming. Incredible views of the volcanos. A stunning walk to Santa Cruz town. The paddle boards were a treat. We loved everything about our stay.
Negative: Honestly nothing. But ensure you’re mobile enough to climb 3 flights of stairs to your room.
Summary: Must stay!!! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else after this accom. Beautiful

Positive: I rented the Studio and wasn't expecting it, because of the reasonable price, to be as nice as it was. It was super quiet and I had $1 million view. The restaurant on site was fantastic and the staff was very friendly, along with Armand, the owner. I understand that they are going to be renovating the Studio, so maybe they will raise the price. It was not an issue for me, however I would not recommend it for someone with any kind of mobility issues or small children as the steps have no railing and are quite steep. I didn't mind as I can always use a little bit of an extra workout and the staff will help you bring your luggage up and down from your accommodation.
Negative: Too bad the sauna wasn't operating when I was there—apparently, there was some sort of problem with the wood stove they had to fix. But it's no big deal, as I loved sitting in the hot tub and watching the sunset. They also have kayaks there to use, and the lake is quite clean in that location, so it's wonderful to just go right in.
Summary: Exceeded my expectations; beautiful quiet place with a fantastic view and great restaurant on site.
