Summary: We really liked the setting. The property is set in attractive, well-maintained, spacious gardens and there is a lovely swimming pool with a covered seating area and space to sunbathe. The whole area is very secure so ideal for families with small children. We were there on our own and it was quiet and peaceful. You do need a car to go anywhere and it is a good location to explore wine country (multiple opportunities for 'degustation', go hiking or cycling in cherry country - we did both! We visited the grand Palais des Papes and the famous bridge at Avignon and the amazing market at L'Isle de la Sorgue. The Abbaye de Senanque is another place worth visiting, where you can see and smell the rows of lavender. Michel and Veronique were welcoming and discreet hosts, giving us recommendations and advice on request and respecting our privacy.

Summary: Hosts are adorable. They have created an oasis of beautiful gardens, incredible pool, home-like accommodation, outside eating, safe, secure and a private holiday retreat on the outskirts of Carpentras. Ideal for iconic regional markets. Perfect for visits to I’sle Sorgue, Chateauxneuf du Pape,Sault in the mountains and Besoin to name but a few. My two children 23 &21 and I as their Dad had a great retreat. Highly recommended

Summary: There are 2 holiday homes on property, one beside the pool and the other below the owners home. We were in the one below the owners. The place was bigger than expected, beautiful bathroom, excellent, quiet, air conditioning in all rooms and lovely outdoor area, with BBQ. We ate all meals outside. Inside was a little dark, but outside is glorious, with big garden and the pool is even better than the photos. Owners are lovely and very welcoming, providing lots of information about what to visit and gave us a delicious pot of home made fig compote. 15 minutes walk into Carpentras. Not a super interesting town, but it does have some good restaurants. We ate at Chez Serge and at Cercle 85 (in the garden out the back), both were excellent. It's a good base from which to explore the area and relax in the evening when you get back.

Summary: Had a relaxing time towards the end of a tour of Europe. Great place to kick back with a smart pool area and terrace. We stayed in the ground floor of the owners home….split up/down some years back. There another rental option closer to the pool. Our place was very nice and certainly French in style. It would benefit from some updating and a few ‘extras’ would be nice on arrival…..water in fridge, a bottle of wine, some milk etc as was the case in almost all the 8 places we stayed on the trip. I would certainly stay again and the owners are very pleasant indeed. Close enough to walk to Carpentras, which has a brilliant street market one day and an antique market another. Not really anywhere to eat in the town in the evening as it seems to close up past about 7pm. We used the house and it’s bbq/kitchen a lot as we’d had a month of restaurant food so no issue

Summary: We stayed for one week at this glorious property. The single story villa is gorgeous; attention to detail, comfort and decor outstanding. The outside space was beautifully planted and diligently maintained. Though the garden was shared with the owners, it was huge with various options of places to relax. The pool, which was the main focal point of the property was immaculate, luxurious and tranquil, with an enormous cabana. The property is gated with an electronic entrance and very secure. It is on a quiet road on the outskirts of Carpentras. The owners themselves, Veronique and Michel, are very welcoming and helpful. They are very respectful of your privacy. There is one other gite with which we rarely crossed paths as the whole site is very spacious. The property is within driving distance of lots of towns such as Gordes, Isles sur les Sorges and Mont Ventoux etc. although you will need a car. Carpenter itself, we did not find to be particularly interesting. Avignon is a short drive away and is fantastic to visit. Thank you, we will be back.

Summary: Fast communication with owners who are very helpful. Lovely clean property with air conditioning. We stayed on the ground floor of the main house, the owners live above, there is also a property by the pool which can be let out at the same time. Property is just outside of Carpentras, probably walking distance but was too hot to walk when we stayed. It is worth noting you have to buy your own dishwasher tablets/bin liners/coffee etc to last for more than a few days. Also they request a €300 damage deposit on arrival.

Summary: It was a truly idyllic stay! The house we had was beautiful, the pool area is large and very well kept, with Moroccan touches. The shower was great, the outdoor area we had to ourselves was very quiet, and the property felt very secure. One thing we didn't realize was that it is usually rented to longer-term rentals (we only stayed a few days), so if you go, make sure to do a run to the local supermarket for things like paper towels and toilet paper - the "Super U" is excellent - because they're not provided. We hope to come back one day and stay longer!
