Positive: The owner was very enthusiastic and met us as soon as we arrived. The location was perfect right in the centre of marquise and only 40 minutes from the euro tunnel. However either we should have read up better or the owner maybe should have checked with us as I was driving home to Portugal from the UK with a work colleague and we arrived to find the bedroom is open plan with the bathroom and the bed was made up with towels made of swans and there was a heart balloon and petals on the bed. The open plan bathroom made it slightly awkward especially when there is not much of a door between the bedroom/ bathroom and the lounge/ kitchenette. There is a bed sofa but once up there is literally no room in the lounge too move.
Negative: There was a jacuzzi in the bathroom (actually it took up a lot of the bedroom/bathroom) that was on when we arrived but were told it was €40 to use it. As you can get a month gym membership for that amount it was definitely too expensive. When we said we didn't want it, it was immediately shut and locked. There were also drinks in the fridge and sparkling wine but also told we had to pay for them. If you are a couple you might enjoy this quirky place but avoid if like us you are two friends/colleagues. I stayed in 9 places in 3 weeks in August and this was definitely the least value for money.

Negative: It was a really hot day when we arrived and it didn’t really cool down at night. There was a small desk type air conditioning unit but wasn’t quite enough.

Positive: Laetitia was super helpful and accommodating. She let me check in 3hrs earlier and prior to that she responded to all my questions within minutes. She is a great host! The flat was very clean and super convenient if you are travelling to and from Calais, only about 20min drive away from the shuttle. I stayed with my dog, and Laetitia had provided a dog bed and dog bowls for him. Thank you for the hospitality!

Positive: Very clean, spotless apartment, everything we needed as a family of 4 for a stopover on the way back to the UK. Great shower, kitchen, two TV's. It was easy to find and parking was available out the front. The host was very friendly and helpful. Supermarket is nearby and a boulangerie. We ate at a small local restaurant which was nice.
