Positive: The owner/chef and staffs were all incredibly welcoming. The feeling of total peace and serenity was indescribable. Also, the fact that there was no television in the room, lets you truly enjoy the nature that surrounds you.

Positive: A quiet getaway. So serene and peaceful! The room is big and is comfortable. Love the onsen bath. There are only 6 rooms in this little hotel. Toshi and Keiko are wonderful hosts. We love the dinner and wine pairing. Decided to have that 2 nights in a row. Toshi has a great selection of natural wines and he is so knowledgeable.

Positive: It was like staying in a winter wonderland. I enjoyed the morning walk to a pond as well as a gorgeous sunrise over the open field. I wish I had more time to explore the area. The hotel was stylish and modern without trying too hard. The meals were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the dinner & wine pairing. I ate both nights and don’t regret it.

Positive: This is an immaculate and welcoming quiet refuge in the mountains. I came here to write and relax in the midst of a longer trip and I could not have asked for a more comfortable place. My room was beautiful in a spare, clean way. I had a view of the snowy mountains next to my desk. The baths were so nicely set up--and private. But the highlights were the service (just amazing--warm, without ever being intrusive) and the food. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, creative, and generous. The wine pairings in particular were inventive and often surprising. This really is a gem.

Positive: The food and experience is phenomenal for the price paid. Please take the dinner and a few glasses of wine - the host is exceptional with pairings and the food is unimaginably good. The bath even though shared is also very nice with a full onsen vibe. Everything in the building has very obviously been meticulously thought through.
