Positive: We had an Our stay at Aurora Desert Camp was absolutely unforgettable. The camp is truly one of a kind — located far away from other camps, offering complete peace, clear skies, and no air pollution. It felt like an authentic desert escape. Khalid was an amazing host and did everything possible to make us feel comfortable and ensure we enjoyed every moment of the experience. The activities were fantastic, from dune bashing and camel riding to watching camel training, which was a unique and special experience not normally offered to guests. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations, and the evening by the campfire — drinking tea, telling stories, and enjoying the quiet desert atmosphere — was the perfect way to end the day. We highly recommend Aurora Desert Camp to anyone visiting the area and looking for a truly authentic and memorable desert experience.

Positive: It was excellent, the room was clean comfortable and private, bed was comfortable (for me) and the carpeted floors helped in the cold The host/property owner, khalid took very good care of my son and I, He was very attentive and made sure to do his best in order for us and the other guests to feel comfortable and at home. To be honest I can't praise him enough, he really did elevate on the experience. The food was excellent as well, The location was nice and private, away from everyone and everything. Looking back after the trip,I like the fact that there were not many rooms, it made it more social, all the guests got together in the evening for dinner, after that had a great time together around a campfire while the host taught us about the stars. I highly recommend
Negative: All was great

Positive: Nice and private camp with only 3 rooms. The host is very gentle and open-minded. Since you don‘t sleep in tents, it‘s safe even if there‘s wind or rain. The food and service is very good: you‘ve been offered tea, coffee and snacks at all times and have a very good dinner and breakfast. It‘s a quiet place to have a proper desert experience. :)
Summary: nice, private and calm

Positive: Without a doubt, an excellent option if you want a relaxed experience in the desert without the hustle and bustle of the bigger camps as the Aurora Desert Camp offers a gran total 3 elevated rooms. Khalid was a fenomenal guest. He has acquired a lot of experience before opening the Aurora. We had an amazing experience and wish we would have stayed 2 nights ! Detailed experience: - we arrived at the meeting point and Khaled was already waiting for us. We didn’t have a 4x4 so he came to pick us up - After an approx. 25 min drive to reach the camp, we were welcomed with traditional tea, coffee, sweets and fruits. - Khaled was very attentive and already asked us if we wanted to do some activities in the desert. We mentioned that we had seen that Camel racing is the number one sport in Oman. We were offered to attend a training the next morning (no race that day) - we really appreciated the flexibility and the willingness to make our experience unique as this is not an activity normally offered to guests - After enjoying the sunset, we enjoyed a really nice dinner with Khaled and the other guests - food was excellent! We then had a really nice evening sharing stories and watching the stars around a bonfire - The next morning, after a watching Camel racing training, we came back to the camp to enjoy a full breakfast - We then went on a desert Safari. We observed camels, birds, goats, discovered more about the desert and had the chance to spend time with a Bedouin family. This was not the typical touristic tour - we visited people Khaled personally knew, we didn’t rush as we would have with a tour guide. It was a nice moment to share, discover and enjoy - upon return to the camp, we packed our bags and Khaled drove us back to our car Regarding the rooms, they are spacious, comfortable and with their own bathroom; it really feels like a luxury to have electricity, water and even wifi in such a remote place!
Negative: Not having stayed 2 nights! 🙃
Summary: Magnificent desert experience.

Positive: It’s not just a property, it’s the all inclusive desert experience! The location couldn’t be better, it’s one of the most remote camps without any neighbours, and it’s just 3 rooms, so it’s very calm area. The surroundings of the camp are stunning. Few steps from the room and you can meet camels, or just walk the dunes completely along without any people around — truly unique experience! The room is spacious with huge comfy bed and the bathroom is well equipped like in hotels which is unique for the desert camp! Check in, check out, meeting, food, activities are very well organised according to the wishes of all guests. We had desert safari, camel riding and sand bashing during our stay, we visited bedouin house in the desert where we were treated with coffee and dates, also every evening after the dinner (which was very taste with looots of dishes) we had a campfire under the starry sky. Khalid, the host, is super friendly and attentive, we felt like at home, and on safari and driving activities felt completely safe. We will come back again!
