Positive: I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled with Guesthouse Storu-Laugar. The attention to detail was amazing. This was the 4th place we were staying in Iceland (every night a different place because we were trying to cover all of Iceland in 6 days). I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t find a mop because the floor of the shower and the floor of the bathroom were one and the same so, it would get wet. There was also a Heated Drying Rack in the bathroom. That day we had been in Mývatn Nature Baths, so we had to wash and dry our bathing suits (VERY convenient to have a place to dry them). They also have their own Geothermal Hot Spring (which we didn’t use) and they have bathrobes (in the room) in case you decide to use the Geothermal Hot Spring. The breakfast was delicious with warm scrambled eggs and frankfurter, different types of bread, a toaster and many other things (I have to confess I only eat scrambled eggs and frankfurter on a toast and some fruits, so I don’t recall the other things that were there, but it was very complete). Usually when breakfast is free it is never this complete. It was not the most expensive hotel we went to (in Iceland), but by far, the best one. Another plus, on a clear night at the end of October, you can see clearly the Northern Lights.
Negative: Everything was great, if I really have to write something that I didn't like is that at breakfast, there was no substitute for sugar for diabetics

Positive: I love the location. It looks like in the middle of nowhere where you can see the hills around the guesthouse. I was there during the autumn (but here it was already snowing). The place is close to Myvatn nature bath. You can see the "autumn wonderland" around the guesthouse. The room is huge and there is a private bathroom even though it is a guesthouse. Also they provide breakfast, again even though it is a guesthouse. They also have an outdoor hot spring for the guest. The staff was so welcoming and full of smile. This is so far the best guesthouse ever during my trip.

Positive: Loved meeting the new owner and the new reception and morning breakfast staff. Breakfast was wonderful and viewing the northern lights was good. Great experience traveling Iceland.

Positive: Very clean, comfortable beds, and excellent breakfast! The family room was perfect for traveling with our young adult kids. Everyone slept well and the pastoral setting is beautiful. We didn't have time to use the hot tub but visitors at breakfast were commenting on it the next morning. This was one of the best breakfasts we had during our trip around the Ring Road and perfect location for exploring some incredible sites. We would definitely return!
Negative: The bathroom could use a bit of an update but it was clean and there were plenty of towels.
