Positive: This traditional style B&B was very well located in the beautiful Sandy Hill Neighbourhood. We found great meals at restaurants a block away and really enjoyed walking the neighbourhood and seeing the beautiful historical buildings. It was also a short walk or cycle to other points of interest in Ottawa. The hosts carol and brian were lovely and very hospitable.

Negative: It wasn’t an issue for us, but the stairs up to the bedrooms are quite steep so it might be difficult for some people. Also, if you are needing parking, double check that your vehicle will fit the low parking spot. 68 inches is the max height. Carol and Brian went the extra mile to find a spot suitable for us, but if your vehicle is taller than 68 inches, they will need a heads up.

Positive: Very good breakfast and Carol & Brian were super hosts - helpful and interesting people. Liked the balcony with our room too. And chatting to the other guest also added to the experience.

Negative: The bathroom wasn't ensuite but we had known that.

Positive: Carole and Brian are warm and welcoming hosts. Interesting to talk with and interested in their guests. Their home is 'old-fashioned', homely and comfortable and with some goregoues pieces of art work. We had the top floor with a huge room, separate bathroom and a small room with a desk, kettle and fridge. I could do yoga in the early morning without disturbing Andrew! Location is excellent in a suburban area, easy walk to the downtown core and Rideau Canal.

Summary: Comfy, quirky, our kind of place.
