Summary: We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house near Villeperdrix. The house is well-appointed and the property manager is responsive and helpful. Very relaxing stay. Only point to note is that the house is reached by tough roads on either side - across mountain passes. The route from Bouvieres is slightly easier if you are not a fan of heights.

Summary: Le Mas de Leoux is a beautiful house with marvellous views of the mountains opposite and is surrounded by lavender fields. Don’t be put off by its adjacency to the minor road. This is a quiet backwater and only a couple of local cars an hour passed by during our stay. The house is comfortable and well equipped. The exterior grounds comprise a couple of terraces which can easily accommodate 6 people sitting in the sun or eating together round the table. Out of the summer months, in addition to the electric heating there is a double sided wood burner for cosy evenings in the dining and sitting rooms. Leoux is a tiny hamlet of no more than a dozen houses. The nearest village, Villeperdrix is about 10 minutes by car and the closest small town, Sahune, with an excellent and friendly local supermarket, tourist information and a couple of places to eat about, is another 10 minutes further. The area is excellent for walking, with many marked trails of varying lengths within half an hour’s drive, as well as three enjoyable routes that you can reach by foot straight from the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and two weeks flew by with plenty more things to do and places to explore on our next visit.
