We are proud to introduce you to our recently renovated family home "Inn Holwerd", where the old elements have been preserved and form a harmony with a touch of design.
The house is in the Wadden area, which has been declared the most beautiful nature reserve in the Netherlands.
It is a surprisingly spacious, but cozy family home in the old village center of Holwerd in a very authentic street. The house is suitable for 6 people and has 3 spacious bedrooms with king size box spring beds, which can be made as 2 single beds or as a king size double bed. There is a cot available and there is a possibility to place a camping bed. The beds are made ready when you arrive.
You have wireless internet connection throughout the house.
Spacious cozy living room with wood stove, TV and a lovely couch. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher, oven, kettle and Senseo and other electrical appliances.
The house has a roof terrace where almost the whole day is sun.
Books, reading material and games are available.
The bathroom has a lovely rain shower and there is a set of towels waiting for you that you can use, if this is not enough then you can rent an extra towels package with us.
Hair dryer and mini shampoo and bath foam is ready for you.
In the utility room you can park your bikes and there is a washing machine that you can use.
Holwerd ... who does not know it. Once on a school trip to Ameland or a holiday on the beautiful island, you will have taken the ferry from Holwerd to Ameland. And what is it fun when you can celebrate a holiday in a super cool house in the most beautiful street of Holwerd, that you can go to Ameland for a day ... or maybe 2 days, but that you are not bound to the island and that you the head of Friesland can start to discover.
The Wadden area has been chosen as the most beautiful nature area in the Netherlands and I love it so much. Endless walking or cycling without meeting anyone, becoming completely at one with nature and having all the daily hassle for what it is.
Walking along the salt marshes, enjoying the tranquility, the beautiful landscape, the diversity of birds and especially the pure air.

Summary: The house is restored and furnished with lovw, care and taste. A great place to relax in style. There is everything you might need. Everybody in the family from aughter 7years too grabdfather 80 years loved it. Holwerd and especially rhe street of Inn Holwerd is beautiful and a trip to Ameland is a must. Welmoed is a very nice host. We will sure come back.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Welmoed's Inn Holwerd . Everything is perfect: the location (10 min bike ride to the ferry to Ameland), close to beautiful little towns, the roofdeck - beautiful sunsets in the evening, the beautiful bedroom and the spacious and cosy sitting room. The whole house is beautifully furnished. The house was spotless when we arrived. Welmoed is a very friendly person, the communication in advance was excellent and super easy. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back some time.

Summary: We loved Inn Holwerd! It was clean , spacious , uncluttered , had a beautiful roof terrace and Welmoed was very kind and considerate . The village has everything you need - bar, bikes and a shop and the a walk on The Wadden Sea is a must ! I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did

Summary: Welmoed is very welcoming, friendly. It was a little like staying at a friends home. Everything we needed was there. We spent a lot of time around the kitchen table in the evenings. Holward is pretty central to a lot of sights. Well worth staying in a small village by the sea.
