At the end of a small Oak and native cactus-lined drive you will find a little piece of heaven, Hillside Log Cabin. Guests at Hillside Log Cabin have a rare benefit of vacationing at a beautifully restored log cabin perfectly situated in the middle of a sprawling 50 acre ranch.
Visitors relish in the serenity of the cabin’s quaint namesake as it is perched on the side of a rolling hill overlooking the untouched beauty of a Texas ranch. Hillside Cabin is accommodating to guests looking to unwind in the shade. The covered front porch boasts two willow rocking chairs, and off to the side is a bubbling hot tub where guests can climb in and spend the afternoon watching the deer nose through the tall grass and vibrant wildflowers of the gently rolling hills.
Hillside Cabin offers guests plenty of luxurious refuge inside as well. With a hand-hewn mantel and rock fireplace and log staircase elements of the outside have tastefully been brought indoors. The first floor offers a full kitchen with all major appliances, a luxurious living area and flat screen TV, a comfortable dining table for two and a beautifully tiled bathroom and shower. Upstairs the sleeping loft is complete with a luxurious king bed and open railing to enjoy the view from above. Summary: Beautiful historic cabin, with everything we could need. The muffins left were a special treat and delicious. Our stay was wonderful, we especially enjoyed looking up at the stars while soaking in the hot tub.

Summary: Loved this hidden gem. Very cozy. Loved having the hot tub. Quiet & quaint. Very comfortable. We were attending a wedding on Bell Springs in Dripping Springs. This was close enough to the venue and gave us privacy between events.

Summary: This was a very nice location, short drive to most everything in the area. Beautiful cottage, very warming, anything you needed for a few days is there or near by. Negatives- Hot tub didn’t heat up over 87degrees and was dirty with bugs on the return, so needless to say it wasn’t used. Even if it had warmed up, we were not going to get into it so dirty. The fridge was not cleaned well, there was crumbs in it multiple places. The shower had not been cleaned at all (there was hair in the drain and hairpins on the floor). The good stuff definitely outweighed the not so good, but Title said Hot Tub and that was a no-go. Honestly a great place but need to fix a few things and make sure it’s cleaned properly. I reached out through VRBO and received zero response. So it gets a 3.

Summary: This has been my favorite cabin getaway so far. The seclusion and privacy were great for the price; for the most part, we felt as though we were alone in the woods. The cabin itself is beautiful and very comfortable. We had visits from the local pets over the weekend, and they were also very friendly and welcoming (the cat…not so much, but that is to be expected 😁). We had a great weekend and hope to stay here again.

Summary: This cabin is perfect for a couples getaway! So romantic and the evenings on the porch then in the hot tube were perfect. The ranch is beautiful and the ride into the ranch is amazing!! We will for sure be back soon!!

Summary: Second time at this cabin. We love it here! It’s tucked away so very private and quiet. The neighbor dogs come visit and they are very sweet. The location is right in the middle of Driftwood, Wimberly, and Dripping Springs, so there’s so much to do within a 15 min drive. I recommend checking out Ghost Note brewing which is about 1 mile away!
