He has collected ancient homes that the modern world has judged as worthless and transformed them into wonderful accommodations. Positive: Staying at BaanBooLoo Village was not just a place to stay, but an experience. It is family run and you become one of the family without the arguing. Although in a city it is its own little paradise with hammocks and plush greenery. The room was exotic and culturally inviting. Ours happened to have an outdoor tub/ shower as well as an indoor shower. The breakfast amazing with an assortment of teas, juices, Thai foods, pastries, and fresh fruit, along with the ability to have eggs cooked to order. Although rustic, it had free WiFi , laundry service, and air conditioning. My 25 year old son who I am traveling with and who has travelled extensively for some his age said that he will absolutely come back in the future.
Negative: For us it was perfect! People who like and want a chain like hotel may not like it.

Positive: It's a cozy and warm little place, few wooden cabines surrounding a inner charming garden. Everything is made by wood, curved and built by the cute family running the place. Location is amazing, right near by the greatest temple in the old city

Positive: They staff here went above and beyond. I really felt like we were family. The food was amazing! I would highly recommend having dinner there during your stay. It was one of the best meals during our trip! They are also a wealth of information to help you plan your stay in Chiang Mai. The room was also amazing. We love staying in traditional style homes, and this did not disappoint. There are details and culture hidden everywhere around the property. I almost passed up staying here because I was worried about air-conditioning. Every sleeping area was well airconditioned, and we actually turned one of them off during the night because we were too cold! I would stay here again in an instant! Don't pass up this chance for a very special memory!
Negative: The only downside, and I wouldn't even consider it a big problem, is that the beds were firmer than I enjoy. They did have a nice mix of different pillows though!

Positive: You’re staying in like traditional tree huts in the middle of the old town, it’s quiet and you sort of immerse yourself in nature. They decorated everything with vintage items of all sorts, very well thought of and curated to the owners touch.

Positive: Everything was so organized, the host messaged me prior to coming to confirm my arrival. Everyone, including the staff, were so kind and proactive, and the place including the interiors were so lovely and charming. Highly recommended.
Negative: There were insects around, but the host gave us citronella spray and after bite balm, so all good!

Positive: We were met by the owner, who is extremely gracious and lovely, and shown our room and our surroundings. Had a nice briefing over welcome beverage while explaining the breakfast and location we were in the town. It is a very traditional Thai property. A very seasoned home that has had additions over the years using very authentic materials. A very short walk into old town and night markets..
Negative: There was nothing that we didn’t like.
