Positive: A well kept, clean house with everything you need & in a great location. Lovely having a hot tub. Especially in the evening after lots of walking!!
Negative: The stairs! We did know about them before we went though.

Positive: Everything! Baggergate really was a home away from home. All the thoughtful touches Christmas Decorations, food hamper, bubbly, bath robes and slippers were amazing. The house was warm, comfortable and had everything we needed for our two week stay. Spa pool, car parking the list goes on. Could not fault this property it was excellent. Heidi and Trish were fabulous to deal with. Thank you for the awesome accomodation we will be back 😀

Positive: Baggergate House was in a great location for the city. It was very clean & the beds were comfortable & cosy. All the linen & towels were of good quality, even supplied bathrobes & slippers. All the rooms were nicely furnished & the whole house was very well equipped. The hot tub was superb, very clean and in good working order. Towels were provided too.
Negative: Absolutely nothing to put here

Positive: The house is suitably located in York for many attractions and central shopping, eating and leisure activities. It's also close by a lovely lively local sub district. The house is perfect for families or like us, a group of women sharing to see a concert.
Negative: This might not be the right place for anyone with limited mobility as the steps are a bit steep and there are multiple levels, not a criticism though, as it added to the charm of the place

Positive: Great location, the hot tub is perfect to relax after walking beautiful York all day. The house feels clean, luxurious and complete. The direct area is perfect for going into city center, but also finding more off beat restaurants and a park to walk.
Negative: The beds in one room could have been a bit better as the springs could be felt through the matrasses

Negative: Unsuitable for disabled people. Lots of stairs. House cold at times and heating system difficult to operate.

Positive: Very well equipped. Lots of basics had been left and a nice welcome snack basket. Loads of towels, robes and disposable slippers provided. Hot tub was lovely. Very clean.
Negative: Stairs. This wasn’t apparent on the booking.com. Once booked (non refundable) the email confirmation from Sykes said it wasn’t suitable for anyone with mobility problems. This is an understatement. My elderly mother uses a wheelchair but isn’t wheelchair bound. She can access an upstairs bedroom. However, this property has stairs into every space. The real issue was her eyesight. Having limited vision and so many uneven surfaces was difficult. All the photos seemed designed to not show the stairs. The property is lovely but the booking.com entry should make it clear that it isn’t suitable for a lot of people. The access to the loft room is steep and uneven for example’. It wouldn’t suit a lot of children.
Summary: Fantastic as long as no mobility vision or young children.

Positive: lovely well equipped house…. heidi was the lady i dealt with and nothing too much trouble, house was lovely and clean and we were left some food and drink essential which was a lovely gesture … very close to the centre … would recommend
