Negative: Very run down and old gotten since we last stayed. You won’t get much sleep as the mattresses on the beds are very thin. The sofas we had in our apartments weren’t very clean. We had to put sheets on top to sit on it. The staff at reception are lovely and helpful however the staff in the restaurants and bars aren’t. It felt like you were bothering them to order something. They continued to talk to each other and ignore us. Or took ages to serve us. My mum and dad went to the restaurant for dinner one evening and sat for 15 minutes. Then had to go up and ask for menus and to order a drink. No one came to get their drink order. They sat for another 20 minutes waiting for staff to take their order but they didn’t bother so my parents left. You also can’t check in until 5pm which isn’t great. You waste a full day if you have an early flight. Also, we took the kids to the pool and they were gathering broken tiles from the pool - we had to take them out clear the broken tiles ourselves and put on pool shoes on the kids before letting them into the pool again. No lifeguards at the pools either. And kids club doesn’t start until July/August time.

Positive: Amazing territory, great location, comfortable room (2 bedrooms, superior) with all you may need, and cleaning service every other day! Indoor swimming pool with gym.
Negative: It's a pity that sauna and massage facilities were not working during our stay, but our stay happened in January, so it's understandable).

Positive: Balaia Village is exceptionally well maintained. The apartment was very well appointed and comfortable. We liked the location. Easy for bus journeys, beach easy walk. Supermarkets within walking distance.
Negative: No washing machine! If I want a washing machine I’ll have to rent a two bedroom apartment. The gym equipment is not well maintained, some missing pieces. Only niggles but nothing that would prevent me from returning!
