Positive: It’s cool to have an area in Groningen that is so close to the city centre but also nature focussed. That’s what I was looking for: having a coffee on the porch of your little hut looking at trees and nature. On the terrain there are about 15 different huts, which look cosy and are slightly different in style. The common area is well maintained and I could reach the staff via phone easily.

Negative: Hut 12 is great, if you like it a bit darker. The vibe of the hut gives Elbatha‘s witch hide out: stuffy and in the area of the terrain with the most shade. As the hut is not well isolated it was also a bit chilly at night.

Summary: Overall terrain was great, Hut 12 is a bit special

Negative: The traffic! I was expecting a tranquil place, but the traffic from the motorway nearby was invasive. Unfortunately, because I loved the place. Apart from traffic everything else met my expectations.

Positive: I fell in love with the place immediately. I was looking for a stay in nature and that's what I got. A sweet and comfortable hut, with peacocks, ducks and chickens walking around. The hosts are very nice and always ask if you are happy or in need of something. There's lots of beautiful bamboo and places to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Breakfast was great as well, fresh eggs and beautiful bread buns and everything you could wish for. For people that want to stay close to nature and prefer the raw to a polished hotel room, it's the right place.
