This location is worlds away from the hustle and bustle of George Town and Seven Mile Beach and offers enchanting vistas, soothing tropical breezes and numerous amenities.
Barefoot Kai II is a beautiful villa with charming, comfortable and colorful Caribbean furnishings. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with private balconies and en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, and the guest bedroom has two twin beds, so the villa comfortably sleeps 4 guests. The ground floor is an open plan and includes a living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, separate utility room with full size washer / dryer, as well as a spacious screened lanai facing the sea with additional seating and outside dining. A large private swimming pool, offering beautiful views across the water, is located off the outdoor living room area, and has plenty of sun loungers for everyone to relax by the pool and soak up the sun!
Other amenities included with this villa are high speed Wi-Fi connection, two kayaks (one double and one single), a flat screen Smart TV, plenty of beach towels, along with a gas grill for outdoor BBQ’s. AC is located in the upstairs bedrooms only. There are ceiling fans throughout the home and additional stand up fans for your convenience and comfort.
Access to amazing natural surroundings is close by at Bioluminescent Bay, a short 5 minute walk. This enchanting natural wonder comes alive at night with sparkling aquatic life that can be enjoyed whilst kayaking, or you can go with one of the local tour companies/guides in order to get a narrated and informative tour.
The surrounding area offers a wide variety of activities, with the Rum Point Beach Club and restaurant, located within a short 10 minute walking distance, that offers a spectacular white sandy beach, incredible snorkeling, shady hammocks, two restaurants, a beach bar, gift shop and Red Sail Sports for all your water sport activities and excursions. The world famous Stingray City, the Sand Bar, Starfish Point, the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Crystal Caves and the Kaibo Beach Bar and Restaurant are all located within a short drive or boat ride from the villa. Hop on to the ferry at Rum Point or at the Kaibo Restaurant to travel across the North Sound to Camana Bay, which offers an array of shops, restaurants, a 10 theatre cinema, an observation tower and much, much more. There is also easy access to Seven Mile Beach and numerous restaurants, bars and activities within walking distance of Camana Bay.
If you are looking to enjoy a family vacation of complete tranquility and wonderful memories, Barefoot Kai is the ideal place for you to relax and unwind. No shoes required, but we highly recommend renting a vehicle for your stay, as the property is a 45 minute drive from the airport, George Town and the west side of the island.

Summary: We had a great time overall. Pros - fun location, 2 big bedrooms, coconut trees, big screened in area, pool. Cons - downstairs not air conditioned, 2 cockroaches (probably to be expected with indoor/outdoor living at a beach house), and it was a bit hard to get in touch with the property manager (messaging issue - when we met her a few days into our stay she was very nice and helpful in person). Highly recommend renting a car if you stay here, and ask the pool man to show you how to get water out of a coconut without it spilling!

The property is in a very quiet area on Cayman and the location on the bay is beautiful. The private dock and kayaks are a great amenity. We loved having our own private pool. It is very secluded and we had no one staying in the property next to us, so was very private. the screened in porch was wonderful for outside dining without having to worry about the bugs. The house is very well appointed and welcoming. The bedrooms are air conditioned and were comfortable and large. We had a local contact, Sissy, that was very responsive and helpful.

Summary: Nice, quiet neighborhood. House was a little dated but nothing to complain about otherwise. Very clean when we arrived. The downstairs gets extremely hot but I cooled off in the pool pretty often. Overall it was a very nice stay

Summary: We greatly enjoyed staying at Barefoot Kai II for our 15th anniversary. The property could use a little TLC, but that did not dampen our stay. We had a few issues with the water heater and old pipes, but the property manager, Sissy, was responsive and even was at the house at 9pm to help address a burst pipe.

Summary: We love the beach Little house!! The screen in porch was great for sleeping with all windows open. We were bummed the pool was heat but learned it didn’t need to be. Hope to return!!

Summary: We loved our stay at Barefoot Kai. The property sits right on the water and is surrounded by palm trees. There was always a breeze and some shade which made the 80 degree temps comfortable. There is only AC on the bedroom level, but we didn't miss it on the first floor because it is all screened in and there was a breeze every day. We were looking to be in a private spot and that is exactly what we got. Even though this property is on the North Side, we were a walk away from two nice restaurants and a coffee shop. There is swimming here at several smaller spots. For the true Cayman beach, we drove an hour to Seven Mile Beach, and we visited there for some amazing swimming and more dining.

Summary: The location is amazing, and you can never tire of the views with awesome sunrises. The tropical winds generally make sitting outside relatively comfortable. Whilst the waters are beautiful they are not suitable for swimming with the sea grasses and jellyfish. The kayaks were a great addition to the house, but really needs 3 paddles to cater for the double and single. The house was immaculate when we arrived and had everything we needed with a lot of storage, towels and kitchen equipment. Whilst we knew there was no AC downstairs it was far too hot to utilise the area, even with doors open. Fans in the covered outside area would be a great addition as this also gets very hot, although with the double height ceiling would likely be ineffective. . A couple of good food options close by, and is great for early access to Starfish point before the masses arrive. Also useful for an early departure to Stingray city for the same reason from Kaibo beach which is 2 mins away. It is a fair drive to Georgetown, again we were aware of this, but we absolutely loved the quietness and wouldn't hesitate to stay on this side of the island again. One of our best holidays ever and I am sure we will be back!
