Well kept & maintained 4 BR/2 BA, 2-story home on a quiet street on south New Smyrna Beach. Our location couldn't be more perfect. For starters, we are only a few steps from the beach (non-driving section). Next, you can walk two blocks to the famous & popular rustic restaurant/bar, JB's Fish Camp, for a cold one and an oyster sandwich. If the peace & quiet of nature is your thing, a short beach walk south lands you in the Canaveral National Seashore Park, consisting of 25 miles of pristine Atlantic Ocean beach and dunes. It is the longest expanse of undeveloped land along the East Coast of Florida. And if unique Florida wildlife intrigues you, manatees are often seen grazing at the county riverfront park, which is only three blocks the other direction.
Our section of Bethune beach has no vehicle driving and there very limited public parking, thereby making it practically your own private beach. With a vacant lot next door, we have ample parking for your RV, boat and friends.
The Canaveral National Seashore Park is a the crown jewel of the eastern seaboard, where there is absolutely no residential or commercial development (It's part of the US National Park System). You can enjoy & explore the beaches & dunes in their natural pristine state. But if people watching is more your thing, you can stroll the same distance north and you will be at Mary McLeod Bethune County Beach Park. There you will find surfers, a lifeguard and plenty of bodies soaking up the sun (also tennis courts, basketball courts and a fishing dock across the street on the riverside).
Why pay an arm & a leg for a beach vacation when you can walk a few steps and stay for half the price? For what you'll pay for our place, you can afford another trip. Or, better yet, stay with us twice as long!

Summary: Perfect place for a peaceful getaway with family. Enjoyed walking on the beach collecting shells, fishing and playground at nearby Bethune Park or sitting on the balcony listening to the waves. We didn’t want to leave.

Summary: We loved the ‘Lake’ house! We were greeted by free roaming chickens! Check-in was easy. Just steps away from the public beach access. Really liked the upstairs/downstairs living area and having our morning coffee on the deck listening to the waves.

Summary: We enjoyed our summer vacation at the 'Lake House'. This was our first time to New Smyrna Beach and we enjoyed it thoroughly. This house is ideal for families. Our group of 6 had plenty of space. You can not get the same privacy and conveniences in a condo. It was a home away from home. On a quiet, non busy road just steps from the beach. We felt very safe here with the kids. You can hear the ocean when you open the door. There were towels, beach toys and chairs to use. We enjoyed the video library on rainy afternoons. Plenty of space to spread out if someone needed a nap! We enjoyed several suggested restaurants. The state park and turtle mound boat tour were 5 minutes away. This was an awesome location to have what felt like a private beach and then just be a short drive for day trips. We visited the space center, the light house and St. Augustine too. Lots of fun memories made staying here. One suggestion to travelers- pack your bug spray and hydrocortisone!
