Positive: Great facilities, especially appreciated the attention to detail put into everything in and around the home. Loved the log-powered hot tub, the log-powered pizza oven, the log-powered grill, and the log-powered fireplace. I practically spent the weekend starting and maintaining lots of fires, it made us forget all about the neverending rain.

Positive: The accommodation looks exactly like in the pictures and exceeds expectation of comfort. I highly recommend it for either family or a group of friends as there are activities for all, whether you are a tourist or local to the area looking for a relaxing weekend getaway. We were very appreciative of the attention to details and the communication from Edi and Martyna. The check-in and checkout is done through them, with an initial tour of the accommodation that answers any questions you may have about the many available facilities.

Positive: Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We were really impressed with the house, which had been beautifully restored to keep both its traditional charm and modern touches. Every detail was perfectly balanced, making the whole place feel like something out of a fairy tale. The authentic features were full of surprises, we even slept in a bedroom under the “stars”, which felt truly magical. The kitchen had a unique extractor hood made from a real tree, which was incredible to see. We were also delighted by the thoughtful touches, such as the local honey, and the jacuzzi, which was prepared for us each day. Eddie and Martina were amazing hosts, so warm and welcoming, and they really made our stay a pleasure. We also loved the beautiful garden and felt lucky to witness the red moon that night, which made the experience even more special.

Positive: I stayed at Barlogul B&B in Piatra Neamț, Romania, for three nights with my 15-year-old son, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our hosts, Eddie and Martina, personally arranged transport to collect us from the airport and bring us directly to the B&B. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a freshly prepared dinner and a tour of the property – a beautifully restored two-bedroom cottage that Eddie had rebuilt himself. The property features a wood-fired hot tub, which was preheated for our arrival, and a small bar area for drinks in the evening. The first morning, Eddie took us into Piatra Neamț for breakfast at a local restaurant, where we enjoyed Eggs Benedict at excellent value. He then organised a trip on the gondola to the top of the mountain, offering panoramic views over the city and surrounding peaks. Over the following days, we visited the Bicaz Dam for dinner, explored the local mountains, hiked scenic trails, and took a boat trip at Bicaz Lake. A highlight for my son was a quad biking trip arranged by Eddie, where we rode from the B&B up into the mountains and through forest trails – a truly memorable activity. Between the airport transfers, well-organised excursions, and the warm hospitality, this was a fantastic value-for-money stay. Eddie and Martina went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly, and their local knowledge made our trip even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Barlogul B&B to anyone visiting the Piatra Neamț area, whether for relaxation, sightseeing, or outdoor activities.
