Summary: Stayed 6 nights at The Barn. It was an enjoyable experience. The beds were comfy; the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water; the provided thick robes were a nice touch; and the semi-secluded private patio was a great place to have a snack or a glass of wine. If you want to sleep in, make sure you have eye shades and ear plugs as the sun shines through the curtains and the many birds start chirping early. It's a mile (give or take) to walk to many of the restaurants. If you want to eat in, the kitchenette works well. We would stay here again.

Summary: My husband and I rented The Barn for two weeks following the birth of our granddaughter. It was just 1/2 mile from our daughter’s home in the Fifth Ward — what a charming neighborhood. I walked everywhere — just a few blocks from the water, restaurants, the Cliff Walk, and Newport mansions. Mostly it was convenient for us to go back-and-forth to help out with our daughter and son-in-law with their new baby. The cottage itself was just perfect. We didn’t do any cooking, but loved the Keurig coffee maker in the mornings. We also enjoyed the outside patio for wine time and the comfortable couch for evening tv watching. Kathy was a wonderful host (just next door) and whenever we had a question, she answered it immediately. The Barn was quiet, safe and cozy. Oh, and great wifi!

Summary: This is a best kept secret. Location was fantastic and accommodations spot on. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood. We were in town for a wedding and close enough to family to make daily trips. Loved the privacy of The Barn with the patio tucked away on the side. Beds were very comfortable and outdoor shower a big plus. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

Summary: Our host was delightful, the barn was a perfect retreat. Clean, much charm, very comfortable on all levels, lovely gardens. Location close to Ocean Drive, Fort Adams, King Park by the bay. We will look forward to staying again. Thank you for a perfectly delightful experience.

Summary: The property is beautiful. You can't beat the location, near the shore and yet in a quiet spot. It's the best of Newport, near restaurants and night life, but without the congestion. Our dog loved the fenced in yard and garden, as well as the nearby walking opportunities. We'll be back.

Summary: Staying at the "Barn" in Newport was a dream. It was fully equipped, even with coffee pods (a morning treat!). It was clean, lovely, had a wonderful patio and the nicest owners ever. It was in a neighborhood that let you pretend you were suddenly a "Rhodey".

Summary: Terrific location -- hard to find a rental like this close-in -- you can go to Fort Adams or downtown without any trouble -- and hosts who go the extra mile, and then some! The rental is set in a delightful garden, and has everything you ever wanted. We hope to return next year.
