2020 Renovations. We took advantage of COVID downtime in 2020 and renovated property. Fresh interior and exterior paint. Addition has all new windows, bathrooms redone, new slipcovers for living room furniture. Huge new SmarTV 2021 in living room. WIFI upgrade enables group of 12 to work, new office space in loft over dining room with desk.
Huge lodge with lots of separate living spaces and bedrooms. Newly restored and expanded/furnished 1795 charming country Cape Home, 5000 sq ft. Designed for larger groups/ reunions or family vacations. Limitless recreational options in Woodstock/ Barnard. Fabulous skiing and golf.
6 bedrooms, romantic 1st floor king w/ privt bath and wood beams, 4 queens, 2 w/ private baths, 2 w/ shared bath, and 20x28 dorm (4 beds) w/ privt bath. Total of 5 baths (3 new). Living room is 20x20, wood stove, exposed beams, cathedral ceiling, Pottery Barn furnished w/ 65 inch HD/sat TV/blu ray.
Separate recreation room with satellite TV and ping pong.
Office in loft above kitchen/dining room. Dining room w/ original wood beams seats 16, adjoining fully stocked cook's kitchen with stainless Miele/Subzero appliances. Large Ski/mudroom entry with storage. Apple orchard in back! 1 mile to Silver Lake and Barnard. 6 miles to Suicide Six ski area. 10 minutes to Woodstock golf. 30 minutes to Killington.

Summary: Debbie, the property manager, was wonderful and very helpful. Really enjoyed both the house and the yard on a gorgeous fall weekend and it worked well for our large family group, with good proximity to Barnard, Silver Lake and Woodstock.

Summary: Wonderful vacation spot for our family. Plenty of space. Loved swimming at Silver Lake, roasting marshmallows, star gazing, hiking and so much more. Would definitely come back!

Summary: Barnard Lodge is a little rustic, but quite charming. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax. It is perfect for families with teens and older kids. (The stairs might be a bit challenging for younger kids.) The garden is absolutely incredible! The kitchen is well provisioned to cook for a crowd. Barnard Lodge is a short drive to Silver Lake, and about 20 minutes from Woodstock. Debbie Wood, the caretaker, is great!

Summary: Deb was a wonderful host- she is a great communicator and did everything possible to make sure our stay was comfortable. The proximity to Silver Lake, the Barnard General Store, Woodstock, and the Quechee Gorge was the reason we selected this location and it was perfect. We used the tubes provided to float down the White River one afternoon, we played lawn games, loved picking fresh flowers, made smores at the fire pit, and enjoyed meals at the large kitchen table. The pictures are very accurate- there is plenty of space for large groups and the kitchen is well stocked. I purchased the Wood's maple syrup and maple coffee and both were excellent- thanks for providing those options. We had a wonderful family vacation and wish we could have stayed longer.

Summary: Deb, the property manager, was extremely prompt in responding to our questions & very helpful. The house easily & comfortably accommodated our large family of 6 adults, 2 kids ages 2 & 4 plus an infant. It was easy to access Barnard, Woodstock, Quechee & White River Junction. The backyard was comfortable & allowed us to enjoy hanging out at the fire pit.

Summary: The Barnard lodge was perfect for our family. Everyone was comfortable. Debbie was available if we needed assistance. We lost power for a few hours. So you should make sure you have extra water. Vermont is an adventure!!

Summary: Our stay was so wonderful! We new we needed some space and wanted that Vermont farmhouse feel and this house delivered! It was a beautiful comfy home, had everything you could need, plenty of space, and the living room and dining table beckons family dinners and games by the fireplace! Mud room was huge and gave plenty of space to drop all of our ski gear. Suicide Six is a short drive and a great little mountain, perfect for families and even had some great shredding trails. Communication with Debbie was perfect! We can imagine ourselves being here in warmer months to utilize the outside space and hope to stay here again! It’s a perfect size for a large gathering but you could also just use the main house, plenty of sleeping rooms and bathrooms. Looking forward to another trip at this lovely home!
