Summary: Great place to stay. We had plenty of space in our room, and didn't get to use the kitchen area but could prepare a meal very easily! Only complaints are limited parking (otherwise have to park on the street and the area is a bit dodgy), and nothing for load-shedding when it happens. We were completely in the dark. Not even a torch.

Summary: The staff at Bartholomew's Loft were extremely friendly and helpful. Due to protests in Makhanda, we were unable to return home so we had to extend our stay and the owner was so generous and offered us a discounted price. The room is also large, has a heater and many other facilities that make the stay pleasant.

Summary: Excellent venue. Beautiful wooden floors in an historical building. Safe, quiet,clean and very spacious. Nice kitchen amenities for self-catering. Not far from town but perhaps a bit far for a walk.
