Positive: A lovely cottage. Clean and well presented. Only had a two night stay, but we were impressed with the location. Lovely scones, cream and jam on arrival Tea, coffee and milk in the fridge very appreciated.
Negative: Situated on the busy A35. It’s a little bit hair raising trying to slow up your turn into the driveway. A bit more info about where the entrance is would’ve been good.
Summary: A lovely clean and well presented cottage.

Positive: Lovely cottage in great location. Bedrooms we're really comfortable - beds, duvet, pillows super comfy. Night lights with sensors on the stairs were really helpful to find your way to the bathroom in the night. Kitchen and sitting room had everything we needed for our stay. Lovely views all around, we even spotted a rabbit. Parking outside, really convenient. Location made it easy for us to get to Lyme Regis, Abbotsbury and Bridport. Perfect for the 3 of us.

Positive: Keys in the key safe were easy to get to. Off road Parking immediately outside. The cottage was exactly as described. The hosts left us scones, jam and cream as a welcome - very nice!. Views were exceptional from the front door of the cottage. We were blessed with great sunsets most nights and great views of the moon too. The A35 which was just outside the boundary of the property was not noisy and we didn't hear it at night. The bathroom being downstairs was well lit by the movement sensor lights on the stairs. Kitchen was well equipped for eating in, but pubs in a short distance were good too. Lounge was a good size and lots of information leaflets in the unit.
Negative: All was as described on the site, so nothing was not acceptable to us.

Positive: Brilliant location, quiet and scenically beautiful; you can even watch the rabbits in the field at dusk ! ‘Cream tea’ on arrival was a nice touch.
Negative: This isn’t the fault of the property at all, but take care when driving on the very busy and fast road beyond the lane to the cottage. It’s a kind of dual carriageway, but with no central barrier and an overtaking lane without a refuge turning area as you approach the lane from Bridport.

Positive: Very comfortable, if not typical, cottage stay. Quality cottage with everything you need for a good time. Horrid weather half the time left me indoors and I was right at home. Beds comfortable. Linens quality. Lots of outdoor space for your friendly doggos. Highly recommend Barton Cottage!
Negative: Little bit of road noise that I soon forgot about.
