Positive: We spent three wonderful days at Batad Countryside Inn with our family and absolutely loved it. The views of the rice terraces are breathtaking, you can see them directly from the guesthouse and observe real village life around you. The treks in the area were very good but demanding, and incredibly rewarding. Nisha is a fantastic host: always smiling, helpful, and genuinely caring, while actively supporting the local community. A truly special place we’ll always remember.

Negative: We liked it a lot. The car arranged from Banaue was rather expensive, and guests should be aware that reaching the guesthouse requires about a 15-minute walk from the parking area, which can be slippery and muddy when it rains.

Positive: We were warmly welcomed, and while waiting to check into our clean room, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast from the menu with a fantastic view of the rice terraces. Everything was well organized. Even before our arrival, we were given options to book transportation to the accommodation, tours, and a massage. Be sure to take one of the many walking sticks available at the entrance of the accommodation for the rice terrace hike — they are very helpful when dealing with the changes in elevation. The massages by Ate Josephine and her niece were very relaxing. Many thanks again, and also thank you for the lovely conversations and the excellent organization.

Positive: Like feeling at home. Great position with an extraordinary view on the rice terraces plus a lovely family that serves you with all comfort you may need (delicious food, tours, massages, ...) will make your stay spacial! Let me also mention Wilky, the local guide who drived us around the terraces with passion and fully dedication. Really recommended.

Positive: Had a great stay at Batad Countryside. Josephine took great care of me and had a fun hike with Wilkie (lots of steps, but worth it!). Nisha was very friendly and responsive online with anything I needed. The view from the guesthouse is incredible and changes at different times of the day. Food was great too!

Negative: Need to arrange transport from wherever you're coming - and a bit of a walk at the end. But that's the same for all lodging at Batad - and IT'S WORTH IT!

Summary: Probably the best view in Batad!
