Positive: We loved the traditional house on stilts that we got to stay in. Beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets and fans overhead, the nets definitely necessary as there were plenty of gaps in the wooden floor and walls for bugs to get into the room. However I loved the feeling of sleeping in a cabin that was quite porous to the sounds of birds and frogs outside. There was a modern bathroom beneath the room plus shaded space to eat and laze in hammocks. Our host was really friendly and chatty and a great cook, she also prepared us breakfast to take on our travels as we had an early start. The location is lovely, in the countryside about 10 mins outside town. There are multiple rooms available on the site so I guess at busy times it might feel more like a b&b than a homestay, but I think it would still be nice even so.

Positive: The owners were fantastic. We arrived late in the evening, as soon as we had settled, dinner was prepared. They then offered to do our laundry for no charge which we gratefully accepted. You are welcomed like members of their own family. The rooms are traditional Cambodian and a great experience for our children. The mosquito nets are prepared by the owners before we went to bed. Breakfast is an option of western or Cambodian, my wife and I went for the Cambodian and our children were very satisfied with eggs on toast. All the facilities were as described.

Positive: Excellent service. The rooms are very characteristic, in pure cambodian style and the staff is very kind. It was nice to live within a local family environment. They also offer tasty traditional food.

Positive: The host was very pro-active and flexible: she was there for us, providing excellent food reasonably priced, transport to the city and everything that we asked for. The place is peaceful,ideal for a proper holiday. Houses are unique. There are 2 rooms, terrace.bathroom at the ground floor and dining area.

Positive: What a fantastic homestay with Pisey and her family. We had some traditional rooms while other guests stayed in beautiful lodges with shared bathroom. Everything working just fine (lights, wi-fi, hot water, electricity, etc.) This place is set a few kilometers away from the city, in a quiet, 35-family village. Easily reachable by car or even tuk-tuk. Great place to relax from the noise of the city. Pisey has cooked several meals for us - her cooking is excellent, with just fresh ingredients she sources from the village and markets. We also took her cooking class, which I highly recommend. No skills needed, she will take your from zero to home-made fish hamock in no time, including fetching ingredients from the garden. Pisey and her family have looked after us carefully, ensuring we were always comfortable and enjoying our stay. They also actively support other small businesses in the village and their community in general. You can easily reach the old bamboo train, bat cave, phare circus, city center or other points of interest from there by tuk-tuk or taxi. There is also a resort nearby that accepts external guests to their swimming pool should you need it.

Positive: Probably the most genuine and lovely people I’ve met during my SEA travels. They’ll welcome you like family and make you feel completely at home. The place itself is beautifully nestled in the peaceful outskirts of Battambang, just a short 15–20 minute ride from the city. It’s rustic, calming, and perfect if you want to unwind and be pampered. Plus, there are plenty of adorable kids around who’ll brighten your day. Can’t wait to come back—highly recommended!

Positive: I’ve spent two nights at Battambang Eco Stay. It has been a very short stay but I totally enjoy it. The stay is perfect if you love nature, in the centre of Battambang but just a little outiside from the city. Totally sourronded and in harmony with the countryside. Room and bathroom are clean, breakfast cook by them is delicious! They welcome you with a basket of fruit. It’s a true jewel and owner Pisey will give you a more pleaset stay. She is a very big sweetheart, and all her family too. She has been at my disposal every time always with a big smile. She arranged for me the transfer from bus station to the stay with mr Sophat (you can contact him if you need to move around Battambang). They can also provide you dinner if you need it. they cooked for me an amazing dinner! I highly recomend this stay and at least a night more them mine!
