Positive: Lovely setting, cosy and quiet. Beds were comfy as were the sofas.

Negative: Wasn’t very clean, there were chips left in the bottom of the oven and food on one of the oven trays. Draws in bathrooms were full of cobwebs and spiders and generally dirty. Oven didn’t work properly and took 2 hours instead of 35mins to cook the ready meals I had brought with me. TV wouldn’t connect to internet. Decking outside adjoining property that we needed to walk over was really slippery in the wet.

Summary: Had a good stay but a bit disappointed by the above.

Positive: Outside space and open plan area was good for socialising. Good location for walks and the village pub was great. Enclosed dog field was an added bonus.

Negative: The accommodation needed a deep clean and some TLC. Sofas and cushions were stained, cutlery and plates dirty, not short on cobwebs and spiders. We found the host extremely rude and the dog field wasn’t completely dog friendly (barbed wire and building material left lying around).

Positive: All went well with finding it and booking in. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The bathroom was good. It was good to have access to wifi. The cottage was warm, which we South Africans needed. We did one recommended walk, which was lovely.

Negative: The TV wouldn't work. The wi-fi was a little 'spotty', not working from time to time

Summary: We enjoyed our stay, it was reasonably close to our family, so convenient for visiting them.
