Bayside Getaway is a nicely renovated 2 bedroom year-round vacation cottage located in the heart of Sodus Point, NY offering easy access to everything you love about vacationing here; Sodus Bay, marinas, parks, playgrounds, ice cream stands, restaurants, Lake Ontario, the beach, fishing pier and lighthouses are just steps from the home.
Bayside Getaway will sleep 5 people with a queen bed in the 1st bedroom while the 2nd bedroom has a twin bed and a double bed.
NO SMOKING / NO PETS.
The renovated kitchen includes electric stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (single pod and 12-cup pot), toaster and all the typical dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc. (no dishwasher). Some of the other amenities include: 3 Roku smart TVs in living room and both bedrooms, DVD player in living room, collection of assorted DVD movies, basic cable, free wi-fi, board games, laundry washer/dryer, and a 10’ x 16’ deck on the front with seating and gas grill with a view of the bay. There is a backyard fire ring for bonfires and s'mores. The cottage has heat for year-round use and air-conditioning. There are ceiling fans in the 2 bedrooms and living room.
This cottage is adjacent to our larger “Bay View at the Point” vacation home (VRBO #650379) which sleeps up to 15 -- perfect for large family reunions, etc.
An Electric Vehicle charging station is located in the Willow Park Parking lot (opposite the convenience store) and just a short walk from our rental homes.
If you like winter fun, snow mobile trails abound in the area and the bay is highly regarded for ice fishing, or go snowshoeing along the beach/bay or in the nearby parks.
Traveler(s) is/are required to provide their own bed sheets, pillow cases, towels, paper & soap products, and any other items to complete their vacation stay as well as departure cleaning unless otherwise arranged prior.

The Village of Sodus Point includes a historic lighthouse, museum (free summer Sunday concerts on the lawn), fishing pier, several marinas, charter fishing boats, 2 playgrounds, skate park, ball field, public beach and an adorable toddler beach (both with lifeguards), restaurants, ice cream stands, gift shop, church, and convenience market.
Nearby amenities include the beautiful Sodus Bay Heights Golf Course, wineries, Chimney Bluffs State Park (a must see if you've never been there before), farm stands and so much more.

Summary: This cottage, squeezed between 3 bigger properties, had a convenient location to the main "hub" of activity at Sodus Point and the lake. The property itself would be fine for 2 or 3 people but any more than that is a tight fit. If all you're looking for is a place to lay your head at night and take a shower, this is it! We did know in advance that we had to provide our own linens, towels, paper products (ie: toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex) and soap (ie: dish soap, shampoo, bath soap and laundry soap) so make sure to bring ALL of the items because there was none of that on site! All of the cleaning products were provided so it was not a problem to clean the cottage before we left.

Summary: Property was great. Cottage was comfortable and cool with a good air conditioner. Would only recommend an umbrella for the porch. It would be more enjoyable with a little shade.

Summary: This was our 2nd time at the cottage. Had already rebooked for August after staying last year, but decided we couldn't wait that long, so short stay in June. We are now booked for this August and again for next June. Sure we will book again for August next year. Perfect little place for just the two of us, or visitors when they can come couple of days.

Summary: We enjoyed staying in this little cottage while exploring the area. I was visiting my grandparents and needed a place to stay while visiting them and exploring Lake Ontario and surrounding areas with my kids. The Sodus Point Lighthouse Museum and lake are a short walk from here.

Summary: This was our second time at the cottage and it was great. The property manager made sure we had tons of info about things to do in town and all information we needed to have a great stay. Easy walk to dinner or the beach. Great experience, already planning another stay. The people staying before us didn’t clean the bathroom quite as well as maybe they should have but it was easily remedied and not at all a reflection on the cottage or the manager. Can’t wait to come back.

Summary: We enjoyed the cabin very much. It was very clean and exactly as described. Lovely. The only disappointment was at 2:00am the cabin next to us had a fight and woke my 89 year old father who was sleeping in the back room of our cabin. He has dementia and after he heard the commotion which was right outside his bedroom window, he couldn’t get relaxed again. I was about to go talk to them, when they did go inside. There are signs saying please respect others and keep noise down after 10pm. The closeness of the cabins was a problem for us. Not so for most folks. Otherwise being in walking distance of the restaurants and beach was a big plus.
