Located in Tirohanga, just ten minutes east of Ōpōtiki, this three-bedroom beach bach captures the essence of relaxed coastal living. Positioned up on the section, the home looks out over the Motu Trail as it winds west into town or east along the beach. Your gaze is naturally drawn to the sparkling sea directly in front, with views along the coastline — west towards Whakatāne and Tauranga, and east down the coast. Whakaari / White Island takes centre stage on the horizon, while Moutohorā / Whale Island rests quietly to the left.
Upstairs, a generous balcony invites you to settle in with a book or simply enjoy the sea breeze and coastal soundtrack. Downstairs, a covered outdoor seating area offers a sheltered retreat — perfect for those hot summer afternoons or the occasional rainy day when you still want to be outside. Opotiki District Council operates a zero-waste policy, and guests are required to remove their rubbish at the end of their stay and dispose of it at the Ōpōtiki Resource Recovery Centre, 38 Wellington Street, Ōpōtiki.
Tirohanga is a small beachside settlement just 10 minutes from Ōpōtiki, with a general store and takeaway located beside the motor camp. The property has direct beach access; however, guests are asked to follow the designated trail leading safely to the beach.
