Summary: We had a fantastic week in the cottage! It poured with rain a lot of the time but the house was nice and cosy, and well equipped for indoor games. We enjoyed time in the sun room with the doors open once it stopped raining too. Perfect location for exploring Punakaiki, and the start of the Paparoa track! We hope to visit again!

Summary: Had a great couple few days here. Dave was easy to deal with and quick to respond. The house feels very secluded even though it’s close to the main road, since the garden is super well planted and gives a lot of privacy. The house has everything you need. The single beds are a little short if you’re on the tall side like most of our group was. Theres a nice freshwater swimming hole a few hundred metres away, where the river flows out to the ocean. Really nice garden for bbqs and plenty of space to sit. Hope to be back :)

Summary: This cute property is well set up for a family of 5 with a well set up kitchen and lovely brand new linen. We really enjoyed our stay and being away from any cell phone coverage or internet connection made a nice change. We would recommend bringing your own dvds or a laptop with movies on it for wet days. There is a friendly resident weka roaming the property to keep you entertained! There is a bike path across the road that takes you toward the village ( it isn’t finished yet). It was a great base for exploring the blowholes, cave and walks in the national park as well as visiting further afield around the west coast. Only down side for us was the lack of drier which made it hard to dry the washing in the wet weather, but nevertheless we recommend this property.
