With sleeping for 4 people, this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom air conditioned cottage is perfectly situated on the shores of Lake Erie, near Long Beach.
The expansive front porch welcomes you into to the tastefully decorated cottage. The bright airy kitchen with loads of counters and island seating is your introduction to this great vacation spot.
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed with sitting area. Bedroom 2 has two single beds.
The comfy living room has a Netflix ready Smart TV. Through the living room, you'll get to the multi-window enclosed porch which is the perfect space to curl up and read a book.
The back door leads to the cottage's second deck where you can sit and sip your morning coffee overlooking the water. The back lawn has room for family games and a fire pit for marshmallow roasting. A ramp leads you to the water's edge. Throw your beach towel out and wade into the cool waters.

Summary: My longtime friend and I went on a girls trip to celebrate our 62 birthdays. The cottage was absolutely perfect in every way. The views were spectacular. Maybe because it was mid June and mid week, but we were pretty much the only people there so we had the entire beach area to ourselves. We enjoyed coffee out by the water, and in the evenings sitting in the sunroom. Definitely be going back!

Summary: The place (and the weekend) was almost perfect. The only downside is the cottage is not numbered (in fact, the supposed number - 11107 - is on a different cottage). But the manager helped me figure it out in real time. I would absolutely come back and refer it to friends.

Summary: Not a drop of hot water available. Spoke directly with the manager on the night of our arrival and then...nothing. Not a word the next day, crickets chirping. No acknowledgement on check out, no apology, NOTHING. Total pain in the ass to stay anywhere for two days without any hot water. And, zero apparently done to fix the problem.

Summary: The interior of the cottage was beautifully decorated with coordinated, very comfortable couches and chairs. The bedrooms are spacious with all of the bedding, pillows and towels needed. The main bedroom has a second tv which was very helpful with a child so they had their own space. The kitchen is exactly as advertised with a lot of working space and storage and beautiful. The island in inter kitchen was incredible. The necessary kitchen utensils are included be prepared to bring everything you will need in regards to food, condiments and seasonings there isn't anything like that provided but the hosts were very clear what was included so I wasn't surprised. The communication was great and very timely. The beds are not comfortable at all which was a downside. The enclosed porch was so bright and airy and provided a perfect view to the water and backyard with the option to open the windows and listen to the water from a comfortable couch. The property was right on the water as advertised and provided a ramp/walkway down to the beach as well and the view was stunning. There is an area to sit and look out at the water on the back part of the property as well. Unfortunately it does appear we were the first guests of the season so the outside of the property was not cleaned or maintained. The bbq was not useable so we cleaned it for about an hour to try to use it. The deck and chairs and outside of the house were very dirty we couldn't use any of the seating areas. The outdoor fire pit also had garbage in it. I do understand it's a cottage but it needed maintenance, some of the windows wont open at all they are so unclean and stuck. Also be aware there is no separation from the neighbors and there are a lot of properties in one area. As we were early in the season it was quiet for us but I can imagine that it would not be if all the cottages were full. The town around the cottage was adorable and had everything we could need. Overall we had a good stay just a couple of updates could have made it great.

Summary: The place was beautiful, quiet neighborhood, no bugs, which was amazing. The only issue was that the water was extremely murky and one had to walk out a fair bit to swim, this was disappointing but the water was quite calm and it was still a relaxing trip.

Summary: Liked the fact of being only ten minutes from town liked being right on the beach lots to do with twenty minutes golf horse back riding restaurants and half hour from the falls I did not like half hour before dinner draining the wast tank eight am lawn cutting for the price should be able to flush toilet when ever could provide some fire wood and not everyone can remember that front door code locking every time pain

Summary: Splash Pad II was the ideal lakefront cottage for our family. Awesome location right on Lake Erie, nicely furnished and just the right size for the kids and the adults in our group. There's even a kids hideout in the attic if you look for it. All the necessities were taken care of by the property management. We would gladly be back to spend more beach time here.
