Eagles Nest is a fan favorite with its beach front location, an upstairs private master bedroom, a spacious two-level deck, and unobstructed water views. Enjoy morning coffee from the front decks while watching the sunrise, pelicans flying overhead, and ships entering the port of Freeport.
This family-owned home is located on Middle Beach in Surfside where it is generally a little quieter than other sections of the beach. A short walk through the dunes and you can play in the waves or enjoy a beach walk. There are plenty of toys available as well as a wagon to take your supplies to the beach for water fun, sandcastle building, kite flying, shell gathering, tossing a ball, fishing, or having drinks and a picnic. The house lot runs from the highway to the Gulf of Mexico so there are no houses in front or behind to obstruct your view. Out the back windows you will see tugboats pushing barges along the Intercoastal Canal.
Inside on the main level you will find the kitchen, dining and living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and laundry facilities. The large dining table that seats 8 is ground zero for card games, puzzles, and lively discussions. The ground level is all concrete which gives you the flexibility of using it as an additional outdoor living space, parking, a giant "chalk art" canvas, or a picnic area. You will also enjoy an outdoor shower, BBQ pit and a completely covered stairwell …great for getting into the house during rainy days. On the highest level, you will enjoy the master bedroom that features a private balcony and separation from the main level living area for naps, reading, TV watching, or working/playing on your computer at the desk by the window.

Summary: We had no problems with our stay or the property at all and had a great time. The house is spacious and everything was in working order. What you are mostly paying for here is location. There is nothing between the house and the beach except a few steps. It still gets busy on this part of the beach on the weekends during the summer but that’s pretty much all of Surfside. The balconies are great and are perfectly situated to have shade somewhere all day. With the breeze you can sit outside even on the hottest days.

Summary: Home was cute… little smaller than how pictured. Loved the location… right across from beach…2 minute walk. Very quite at night… very glad there was a washer and dryer. Plenty of room to park… outdoor shower was a life saver getting all the sand off. The cookware could be updated. All in all my family enjoyed themselves… especially my grandson.

Summary: The description says that it sleeps 16, which is a stretch. 10 comfortably is more accurate, although if most were young children, then it would be more.

Summary: We had a great time at Eagles Nest and enjoyed our stay. We only had a couple of minor issues but overall it was a great place to stay and spend quality time with the family! The tap water is bot ideal, so bring plenty of bottled water. Also, the grill required some engineering in order to grill for 15 people, but we made it work.
