Summary: It was a great time in Surfside. Gilligan's Beach Hut was perfect for our needs. For the 4th we didn't have to fight the crowds for beach space because we could observe from afar. We could come and go as we pleased and had a perfect little retreat to come back to.

Summary: Every year, we take a beach trip for my husband‘s birthday. We’ve been to Florida, Alabama, Gulf Coast, East Coast, South Padre Island, and Corpus Christi. This year, we decided to go to Surfside because of how close it is to home, but I was a little hesitant because I’m not crazy about Galveston. To my delight, surfside is a lazy, laid-back beach town. I found Gilligan’s beach hut, and thought it was perfect for my family of five and one small dog. And, it was. Right on the beach, perfect size, and amenities. I especially appreciated the fenced in area for my dog to run around and so I did not have to put her on the leash every time she went outside. We had everything we needed and the communication was great. We are planning to return in August for a longer trip.

Summary: Wake up to coffee on the deck, seeing and hearing the surf. Very short walk to the beach. Cottage is comfy, cozy and well equipped. Host most helpful and available. We look forward to staying again.
